A Special Report about the Ring Crisis!

Post: # 15218Post stowaway8888 »

With the recent chaos happening across the Toro Region, a special news report has been put out by the Toro Times! The cheerful voice and smile of Sunny Smiles and Tucker Tom comes through the television screen (or the radio if you listen through that).

"Helloooooooooooo Toro Region! Sunny Smiles with an in-depth report on the latest happenings of our beloved region! For the past year, numerous sightings and reports have been made of strange golden rings appearing across the land, dropping sand, water, Pokemon - even people - wherever they land. Isn't that right, Tucker?" Sunny grins over to him.

"That's right, Sunny! One of those portals dropped a bunch of Feebas on my head! I smelled like fish for a week."

"Right you are, Tucker, and that's why we did our own separate reports for that time!" Sunny laughed. Tuckers eye twitches. "Many have called in and asked on what to do to stop these rings, and the best advice we, and the RTMP, can give is to clear the area. But you know our region citizens, for a few brave Toroans have taken it upon themselves to put an end to the crisis! Right, Tucker?"

"You bet, Sunny!" Tucker hummed. "Interestingly enough, right when the rings first appeared, a new island was discovered with the remains of an ancient civilization! The people seemed to have worshipped a religion similar to Golism... but to the surprise of many, two NEW Golems were discovered! While Golist scholars and researchers have been studying the dormant Pokemon to the best of their ability, they've been officially named 'Regieleki' and 'Regidrago'."

"That wasn't the only thing discovered, either!" Sunny added on with a laugh. "Some new ruins were discovered on the mainland, Garnet, and the southern island that each corresponded to the 'original' three Titans. And here I thought we'd seen all the ruins with the ancient Groudonists and Kyogreists!"

“Toro never ceases to amaze, Sunny. Moving back to the brave Toroans, our reports gathered that they’ve gained some sorts of ‘keys’ from these ruins to open up a hidden cave on the newly discovered landmass. This was shortly followed by the awakening of the first of the new Titans, Regieleki, currently situated in the cave.”

“But Tucker, I’m lost. How does waking up the Golems relate to stopping the rings? What’s even CAUSING the rings?” Sunny asked curiously as she sipped from a TORO TIMES BRAND COFFEE MUG.

“Through the word of mouth and our reports, the cause of the rings is from a Legendary Pokemon known as ‘Hoopa’. As for why it’s causing the rings, or how the Golems relate, is where the reports get muddied up.” Tucker nodded with a frown. “Some say Hoopa is being controlled, and that waking up the Golems is the key to finding what will break it free. Others on the island say that Hoopa is a wild ‘beast’, and that the waking of the Golems will only continue to make the problem persist.”

“Sounds like some of those Order of 1000 Arms members had some choice words to say, hm?” Sunny chuckled a little lowly. “We’ve recently reported on their stationing on the newly discovered island, protesting against the Golems and their worship or respect. I’m sure they aren’t taking too lightly to the Legendaries awakening.”

“Not at all, Sunny. One sleeping Golem remains, Regidrago, with the brave adventurers trying to figure out a way to awaken the Pokemon. This in turn has only increased Order protest, vehemently stating that this will only fuel the fire of the problem. As for the future, only time can tell.”

Sunny nods, looking to the camera. “Indeed. For those not involved with the ring crisis, the RTMP and Toro Times strongly advises you to stay clear if spotted, and to contact the nearest authorities to report it. Pokemon have been reported to be violent and dangerous upon release, with several injuries happening at the recent Adamas Dojo Tournament.”

“Indeed, Sunny, indeed. Please, Toroans, stay safe. And let us pray that these events stop soon.” Tucker nodded, looking to the camera as well. “And that ends our special report! Now on a more positive note, lets discuss the upcoming Aurelia Gala -”
