Autumn 16, 1147
Rangers Present: Ryla Mahina, Allister Cypress
All others: Officer Caleb Tanner
Officer Tanner arrived as planned during Allister and my patrol shift along with his assisting officers. After a small briefing and ensuring that everyone was well prepared in the event of an emergency, we escorted the group to the inner chamber where the mass grave lay. While Caleb instructed the volunteers to clean up the few bodies that were outside of the lava chamber, Allister chose to flank the group and enter on the second cooridoor and ensure our safety. Caleb and I proceeded and met up with him inside with no sign of any significant change to the area or danger in the area. While bagging and tagging bodies, I felt a familiar intense pressure and looked up to see Entei behind Caleb. He remained calm as instructed and the Entei seemed appeased. Entei approached Allister and I again to inspect us, but quickly backed off onto a newly formed rock in the center of the lava pit. We opted to continue to clean up the gravesite despite the Entei continuing to loom over us. After all bodies were collected, we were approached again by the legendary pokemon. While I am not certain what move was used, the Entei caused all remaining scattered Moltres feathers to levitate and then drop into the lava pit. I understand that it is not my place to insert human emotions in the place of pokemon behavior, but it appeared to be sad when doing so. Shortly after, the pokemon returned to his rock and let out a series of powerful roars which caused the lava pool to begin rising. For safety, we evacuated the group at that point. Thankfully all of our recon work was completed successfully and the bodies are safely with the RTMP.

Internship Report (Excerpt)
Preamble
As part of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) curriculum, a practical placement abroad is required in the fifth year, an essential condition for graduation and access to the position of Senior Ranger in Medicine.
During this one-year internship in Almia, supported by the Federation of Toro Rangers, the aim was to join a team of Rangers, assist them and actively participate in the missions of a Medical Ranger, despite cultural and environmental differences.
In accordance with Almia's internal regulations, the use of Pokéballs is strictly controlled. Only Pokémon with proven reliability may accompany a Ranger, who relies mainly on his or her skills and the styler provided by the local unit. The use of any other external equipment that would infringe the regulations is forbidden.

Part 1 - Mission Report Summary
Context of the mission
An accidental spill of toxic chemicals from a local factory contaminated the river running through Vien Forest, south of Pueltown. This pollution seriously affected the aquatic Pokémon, local wildlife, and surrounding flora, while also endangering the potable water supply for human populations downstream.
Objectives of the mission :
Mission Process
Initial Assessment and Team Mobilization
Upon arrival, a visual assessment allowed us to gauge the state of the river and the health of affected Pokémon. Testimonies from locals also provided valuable information on the source of the contamination.
Contaminated water and soil samples were collected and analyzed. Meanwhile, Field Rangers ensured site security, especially in the presence of aggressive Pokémon (Wartortle, Floatzel). I coordinated the tasks, delegated responsibilities to the Medic Rangers, and supervised them.
Care and Treatment of Affected Pokémon
A temporary care center was established near the river. Aquatic Pokémon (Squirtle, Buizel, Wartortle, Floatzel) displayed varied reactions based on their personality and condition:
Treatments were adapted based on the severity of the cases:
For Buizel suffering from respiratory distress (signs observed: rapid breathing, apathy/agitation, bluish mucous membranes), I implemented enhanced monitoring and intensive treatment, combining the Heal Pulse from Gardevoir and the Aromatherapy of a Leafeon.
Pollution Containment
Neutralization of Toxins:
The river was partially diverted via a trench dug by an Excadrill.
The Venusaur of my supervisor played a key role in phytoremediation, absorbing toxins from water and soil with support from a Leafeon's Grassy Terrain. This process lasted about two hours, with regular breaks for the Pokémon involved to prevent exhaustion.

Training and Awareness
Analysis of the Mission
Major Successes:
Challenges Encountered:
Personal Reflection
This mission deepened my understanding of Pokémon abilities. I discovered that Venusaur can absorb toxins via phytoremediation, a process I had not anticipated but which makes sense given the toxic nature of Venusaur’s plant-based dorsal vegetation.
The crisis confirmed the importance of cooperation between Rangers and support Pokémon. Every decision required quick but thoughtful action, allowing me to refine my leadership skills. The bond of trust between Rangers and their Pokémon was essential to the mission's success.
This mission reaffirmed my goal of becoming a Senior Ranger. I am now confident that, in a similar situation in Toro region, I would be able to lead the operation from start to finish.
Final Summary
The environmental crisis in Vien Forest highlighted the importance of cooperation between Ranger branches and their Pokémon partners. Thanks to rapid and coordinated intervention, the river's pollution was contained, environmental damage was minimized, and the health of affected Pokémon was restored. This mission was a formative experience, both technically and emotionally, reinforcing the essential role of Rangers in environmental protection.

Follow-up report #1 - Pikipek and Yamask
Pikipek
Yamask (Galarian Form)
Conclusion
Pikipek and Yamask have suffered severe physical and psychological trauma. Their progress is slow, but their fraternal bond is an essential resource for their rehabilitation. My role is to offer them a safe environment, reduce their dependence on each other and strengthen their autonomy and trust in caring humans.
Follow-up report #2
Pikipek
Observed progress :
Since the last report, Pikipek has shown signs of behavioral improvement. It's fear of human hands remains, but is gradually diminishing. It now agrees to approach me when I present it with food on the ground, and I've noted several spontaneous attempts to approach it. It has also learned to manage it's flight reflexes. When I move slowly and announce my presence to it in advance (with repeated, soothing phrases), he stays put instead of flying away. Episodes of shrill crying are becoming rarer, although they persist in noisy or unfamiliar environments.
Physical progress :
It's plucked feathers are starting to grow back. The plumage is denser, though still uneven in places. This improvement enables it to fly longer, although it's flights remain short and cautious. It's flight strength has improved slightly, enabling it to flee more quickly in panic situations.
Future objectives :
Yamask (Galarian Form)
Observed progress :
Yamask's progress is visible, particularly with regard to it's water phobia. It is now able to approach small basins of stagnant water without showing signs of panic. It has even observed Pikipek playing with objects in the water, which seems to have aroused it's curiosity. In a recent session, Yamask touched the surface of the water with it's spectral hand, a significant advance. However, rain and moving water (like rivers) remain sources of extreme anxiety. At the first drop of rain, it immediately withdraws, seeking shelter at all costs.
Physical progress :
There are no noticeable physical changes in Yamask, but I note that he projects it's plate less often. This defensive ability occurred only once during this period, and only when it was startled by a loud noise. This is a sign of better stress management.
Future objectives :
General analysis
The progress of Pikipek and Yamask is visible, although evolution remains slow due to the depth of their traumas.
Both Pokémon have shown greater tolerance for stress, thanks in part to their mutual presence. Pikipek seems more curious and autonomous, while Yamask follows it's example when he feels confident.
Empowerment is one of the major challenges ahead. While their bond of mutual support is a strength, it must not become an obstacle to their ability to manage on their own.
Positive reinforcement tools (soothing voices, interactive games) are beginning to bear fruit, and the first steps towards human trust are perceptible. However, it seems that their bond with myself has become stronger, which can be a source of emotional support when humans are present in the same room, but also a hindrance when it comes to making contact with them.
[...]
Conclusion
Since the previous report, Pikipek and Yamask have made significant progress. Pikipek is calmer and sometimes approaches spontaneously. It's relationship with flying has improved, although it remains cautious. For it's part, Yamask has taken a crucial step in desensitizing itself to water, notably by daring to touch standing water with it's hand.
Despite their progress, the work on their autonomy remains crucial. The bond of brotherhood they share, while beneficial, needs to be better supervised to avoid overdependence. Future objectives will be to reinforce their autonomy, reduce their deep-seated fears (noise, rain) and consolidate their trust in humans.

Part 1 - Mission Report Summary
An accidental spill of toxic chemicals from a local factory contaminated the river running through Vien Forest, south of Pueltown. This pollution seriously affected the aquatic Pokémon, local wildlife, and surrounding flora, while also endangering the potable water supply for human populations downstream.
Objectives of the mission :
- Identify the extent of the contamination.
- Diagnose and treat affected Pokémon.
- Limit the spread of the pollution and restore the ecosystem.
A temporary care center was established near the river. Aquatic Pokémon (Squirtle, Buizel, Wartortle, Floatzel) displayed varied reactions based on their personality and condition:
- Squirtle and Buizel: timid, requiring gentle approaches.
- Wartortle and Floatzel: aggressive, requiring intervention from Field Rangers using their styler to calm the situation.
Treatments were adapted based on the severity of the cases:
- Superficial chemical burns: rinsing with clean water and application of a pH-neutral dermatological solution.
- Mild poisoning: administration of Pecha Berries and on-site medicinal preparations.
- Severe cases (severe poisoning, respiratory distress):
- Use of a solution mixing Pecha and Lum Berries along with anti-poison medication.
Intervention from a Gardevoir using Heal Pulse to stabilize Pokémon in critical condition.
Transfer of aquatic Pokémon to inflatable basins filled with purified water supplied by a Vaporeon. Fish-type Pokémon, particularly vulnerable, were moved using Gardevoir's telekinesis.
- Use of a solution mixing Pecha and Lum Berries along with anti-poison medication.
- Floating Barrier Installation: A PVC-coated polyester floating barrier was placed downstream with the help of Gardevoir's psychic powers (to avoid Ranger exposure to contaminated water).
- Flow Control: Floatzel and Buizel, temporarily caught by Field Ranger, used their tails as propellers to create a current, pushing the polluted water toward the barrier.
Health of Pokémon
- Affected Pokémon received appropriate care. Minor cases were released after stabilization, while more severe cases were transferred to the Pueltown HQ for observation (minimum 48 hours).
- Field and Medic Rangers improved their knowledge of Buizel care through close observation of their behavior during recovery.
Environmental Protection
- The pollution was contained before reaching aquifers, thereby protecting the downstream potable water supply.
- Human communities relying on the river’s water avoided a potential health crisis.
Training and Awareness
- The factory responsible for the spill was required to revise its waste filtration system.
- Environmental training and awareness sessions were conducted for the factory's staff.
Major Successes:
- Effective coordination: Task distribution among Field Rangers, Medic Rangers, and partner Pokémon enabled a swift and efficient crisis response.
- Optimal use of Pokémon abilities:
- Vaporeon (pure water), Leafeon (Aromatherapy, Grassy Terrain), Gardevoir (Heal Pulse, Psychic), and Venusaur (phytoremediation) played crucial roles in resolving the crisis.
Challenges Encountered:
- Aggressiveness of Wartortle and Floatzel: Control of these Pokémon required the intervention and vigilance of Field Ranger.
- Physical and mental strain on partner Pokémon: The Pokémon were given frequent breaks to prevent exhaustion.

- Species : Pikipek
- Origin : Rescued from a wreck after suffering human mistreatment.
- Physical condition : Feathers partially torn off, reduced flight capacity under stress.
- Psychological state : Constant hypervigilance, fear of humans pronounced, especially towards human hands. It defends itself with shrill cries, sudden flight and, as a last resort, beak pinching.
- Rehabilitation in progress : Work on reducing it's distrust through distance approaches, positive reinforcement (food placed on the ground) and gradual exposure to human proximity.
- Highlight: It’s brotherly relationship with Yamask helps it calm down in stressful environments.
- Species : Yamask (Galarian Form)
- Origin : Rescued from the same wreck as Pikipek, also a victim of human mistreatment.
- Physical condition : No apparent injuries, but it's plate is pretty heavy (3.5 lbs), which he can reflexively throw in a panic.
- Psychological state : Marked phobia of water (especially moving water and rain) due to attempted drowning by it's former trainer. It's instinctive reaction is to flee, freeze or use ghost abilities (moving shadows, eerie cries) to intimidate.
- Rehabilitation in progress : Gradual desensitization to water through playful exercises (basins of stagnant water) and the introduction of playful objects to associate water with positive experiences.
- Highlight: It's relationship with Pikipek enables it to remain calm in new or stressful situations.
Conclusion
Pikipek and Yamask have suffered severe physical and psychological trauma. Their progress is slow, but their fraternal bond is an essential resource for their rehabilitation. My role is to offer them a safe environment, reduce their dependence on each other and strengthen their autonomy and trust in caring humans.

Future objectives :
- Building confidence in human hands : Gradually introduce manual feed.
- Stabilizing noise tolerance : Gradually expose it to noisier environments, slowly increasing the volume.
- Encouraging autonomy : Work on longer, more controlled flying exercises to improve endurance and self-confidence.
- Species : Yamask (Galarian Form)
Observed progress :
Yamask's progress is visible, particularly with regard to it's water phobia. It is now able to approach small basins of stagnant water without showing signs of panic. - Stimulate curiosity about water : Offer more playful activities around stagnant water basins, placing floating objects in them to encourage interaction.
- Strengthening stress management : Repeat stress management exercises, simulating loud noises progressively, to avoid plate-throwing reflexes.
The progress of Pikipek and Yamask is visible, although evolution remains slow due to the depth of their traumas.

Autumn 02, 1152
Rangers Present: Audun Ad'Thar, Muri O' Litto
All others: A young trainer named Frey
Field Ranger Ad'Thar and Recruit Ranger O' Litto arrived at the entrance to the Carmine mineshaft with Frey in response to the mission 'Wishing for a Whismur'. Upon arrival, gear was distributed, hand signs were quickly learnt and recognise (Recruit O' Litto took out a notepad just in case longer sentences were required) and we proceeded into the mines. It did not take long until we encountered the Whismur that Frey wanted and with careful footing and instructions Recruit O' Litto and I surrounded the Whismur from behind and took any assaults that may occur with such a pokemon. Luckily this did not happen as Frey's quick arm and lucky catch meant we could return to the rendezvous point safely and efficiently. When we got out, the evening was arriving and so we escorted Frey back to Carmine out of my concern for any Cacturne packs that may have followed us.

Autumn 25, 1152
Rangers Presents : Jean-Luc Barnier, Elliott Ashwood, Audun Ad'Thar
After reaching the rendezvous point at the PRRC, other rangers join us to investigate recent local weather phenomena, namely thunderstorms and rains that don't seem to stop over a savannah area that also includes the city of Tyrian.
We arrived at a point in the savannah where a group of Luxio, led by a Luxray, were chasing a juvenile Pokémon. While the group of trainers kept the pack's attention, Elliott and I were able to reach the endangered Pokémon to examine it. We arrived just as it had passed out from exhaustion, enabling us to treat it's most serious wounds.
We also found that it's leg was dislocated and I deduced that transporting it to the PRRC manually would be too risky, so I opted to placeit in a Heal Ball (firstly to avoid aggravating this Pokémon's case, and secondly because the Heal Ball* is designed to improve the condition of the tenant Pokémon) while we took it to the PRRC. There, Doctor Grayson and Professor Daera solicited me to continue the treatment.
After using Hypnosis from a Kirlia on the rescued Pokémon, Doctor Grayson and Professor Daera were able to re-embed the bone in its housing under my guidance. Finally, we treated three electrified bite marks, all with insulating gloves. The rescued Pokémon will be able to regain its strength.
I'd like to make it clear that I knew nothing about this Pokémon and carried out my work as usual. Whatever the patient, I treat it as well as possible and do my utmost for it's own health to guarantee a quality recovery. It was a young legendary Pokémon, Raikou.
* The Heal Ball was destroyed after the Pokémon was released, in accordance with the laws in force concerning Pokémon classified as legendary.

Winter 13, 1152
Rangers Present: Ryla Mahina
Attending Citizens: Artisan "Arti"
I reported to the Tyrian train station at approximately noon today as directed in my letter to Artisan, who had requested assistance for "Really bad luck" and a specified problem of "not a single mudbray" to be found. I had plans of intercepting a local herd travel between the south plains and their known nesting site as I knew the pokemon would be traveling relatively close to town this time of year, however it appears I was a bit too accurate in this assumption. We encountered a mudbray that had mistakenly entered the city limits in search of forage. It was relatively young and I estimated that it would be an ideal candidate for a trainer of Arti's experience, choosing to instead support the trainer's effort to tire and capture the horse instead of directly engage it. While it took a few attempts, (Mr. Artisan was correct in his 'really bad luck' ) mudbray was captured without any other significant incidents and this request has been fully resolved.
