I like to roleplay, and have done so here several times before. Always enjoyed my time here cuz of how respectful and cooperative this community ALWAYS is. Looking forward to playing again.

What is meta-gaming?:
Using OOC knowledge to affect IC.
For example: You, the player, know that Joe the character is dating Sarah, but your character doesn't know. It would be metagaming to have your character suddenly aware of that relationship.
What is power-gaming / god-modding?:
Powergaming is denying the other people involved a chance to meaningfully roleplay. This is typically done to give the powergaming character some kind of advantage (typically in combat). God Modding is making your character unrealistically powerful.
For example: Joe punches Sarah so hard that her arm instantly breaks.
What is retroactive continuity? (retcon):
When events in the past are changed, and these changes affect the present in some way.
For example: Joe has always had blonde hair, but because of whatever reason it's been decided that Joe has always had brown hair. Everyone around Joe would just treat it like Joe has always had brown hair.
What is Character Bleed, and how can you prevent it? :
Character Bleed is when you as a player are directly affecting your character's mental-emotional state, or vice versa.
This can be something difficult to prevent, as many players get deeply attached to their characters. For me it's important to remember that we play characters in a story, sometimes good things will happen and sometimes bad things will happen, let the story flow (as long as it all makes sense and everyone is generally having fun).
If something so extreme is happening that you're unable to control yourself and keep in character and out of character separated, then my suggestion is to step away from the game and get some fresh air. Stress is absolutely brutal, and should be dealt with in healthy ways. If something isn't fun, you have every right to step away and calm yourself.
I got a bit rambly: Character bleed can be prevented by being mindful of yourself and how you're exhibiting emotions, and I encourage anyone who's feeling particularly unable to keep their emotions in check to take time to relax away from stressful situations.

Appearance:
Ziggy Zags's reddish-brown hair is typically kept long, hanging below her shoulders, though sometimes it will be put up in buns or pigtails. A pair of dark green eyes are planted neatly in her face, with a soft brow and nose framing them. Rounded cheeks lead down to a slightly pointed chin, giving her overall facial features giving off a somewhat childish and soft air. Fair skin, though somewhat tanned from her frequent time outdoors, features on the girl's exposed body - a somewhat svelte though lightly muscular frame can be seen. Typically wearing bright colors in exciting and daring ways, Ziggy tends towards the outlandish when it comes to manner of dress.

Ziggy is a performer, who relies on comedic timing and relief to keep people entertained. She's very happy, energetic, and outgoing - always ready to meet, greet, and entertain anyone she meets, anywhere, anytime. She seems to absolutely come alive when she's the center of attention, and frequently makes a fool of herself just to get some laughs. She's got no hard feelings about the performances she gives, and being made a fool of, as long as its got people laughing and entertained.
Trying to always show her comedic side another side of Ziggy is hardly scene, someone who is deeply caring for those around her. She often tries to keep people entertained, but also is ready to lend an ear to someone crying, or help perform life-saving techniques. She'll always try to make a joke of things if given a chance, so sometimes comes across as insincere or aloof.
Biography:
Ziggy Zags was born as one of several children into a large family of performers. Her parents were part of a traveling circus, and they spent their time working, raising their children, or providing them with home-schooling. Ziggy was raised much like her siblings, and was instilled with a love to perform. Typically in the Zags family when someone turned eighteen they'd start heading out on their own, sow their own oats, start their own performing troupes, or just explore the world. Ziggy recently turned eighteen and it was her turn to leave the family unit and head out on her own.
Setting her sights on the Toro region as an area untapped by any of the Zags, Ziggy decided her new life would start there. She has set out with little more than the clothes on her back, a small backpack with the very basic of supplies, and a pokemon her family insisted she bring along, Ziggy is eager to see what the world has to offer her.
Early in life Ziggy was something of a firebrand, though that has been a common feature in her family for generations, she learned to walk early, and was balancing on tight ropes before the age of four. By the age of five she was already performing in shows, and by the age of ten she had already developed her own act. Throughout the years, and even throughout any given year, the family would not stay in one place for too long - instead Ziggy group up doing something of a circuit of Kanto and Johto, spending a few days, weeks, or months on the routes and towns. During winter festivals the family would spend considerable time in Goldenrod City, and during summer festivals in Saffron City (though sometimes that would be reversed). Ziggy never really called any one place home, though she was born in Saffron during a summer festival. By the time Ziggy was eighteen she had saved up a small amount of money, enough to get started on her own path - and with a lot of encouragement from her family, as well as some adoring fans in several cities, Ziggy had the confidence to strike out on her own.

You find yourself standing in a bustling town. Suddenly, a small girl runs up to you, her eyes seeming to glisten with fresh tears as her bottom lip quivers. “Please!” She cries out to you, “You must help me! My poor Meowth is stuck in a tree!” She points to a nearby tree as more tears spill out of her eyes and down her cheeks. How does your character respond?
"Kazam!" Ziggy exclaims as she whips her hand forward, producing a bouquet of plastic flowers, which is handed towards the girl. As the girl takes the bouquet colorful confetti sprays out from Ziggy's sleeve, lightly showering the girl in color and sparkles (it's bio-degradable confetti). As the girl probably begins to laugh and giggle, Ziggy stumbles back as if the force from the girl's light joy is causing her to lose balance! She falls back onto her butt and a PBBBBRRRRT sound is heard as she lands a whoopie cushion.
"Wow girl! You've got such strong energy! You're going to be an awesome pokemon trainer!" Ziggy says while giggling and getting back to her feet. Standing conspiciously nearby is a Mime Jr who's been hiding a pie behind his back, with a wink towards the girl he turns and throws it into Ziggy's face as she gets up! Ziggy falls back and lands on her hidden whoopie cushion again, another PRRBBBT sound can be heard.
During the antics a small crowd begins to gather. Ziggy's smile grows as she brushes cream off her face.
"Okay! Hi everyone! My name is Ziggy Zags, and this is my partner Squiggy!" She reaches down to let the Mime Jr climb up to her shoulder. They both begin to wave.
"Now that so many people have gathered, maybe sooooomeone can help this poor little girl with her Meowth who's stuck in a tree?" With her broad grin Ziggy continues to perform while a few others work together to get the Meowth down from the tree.

After arriving in Toro a cheerful woman walks up to you, a clipboard in her hand. “Hello and welcome to Toro! I would like to ask where you came from and why you came, as well as where you plan to go. All for for statistical reasons of course.” she asked with a bright smile as she held a pen to her clipboard. How does your character respond?
Ziggy smiles taking a biiiiig breath as she's given basically permission to go ahead and perform.
Almost immediately she falls to the ground and tumbles backwards, bouncing up and throwing her hands up into the air. As she does confetti shoots out of both sleeves and her Mime Jr bounces around her, throwing handfuls of confetti himself.
"Hello and welcome to my show~ My name is Ziggy and this is Squiggy~ We've come to Toro to make everyone happy and laugh!" She turns towards the Mime Jr, as if addressing him. As she says happy and laugh, the pokemon reflects those emotions.
"We came from far far overseas!" Squiggy has already produced a bucket of water and throws it on her as she mentions the seas. She sputters and blows water off her face.
"We came from the ice and snow!" Squiggy's produced a bucket of snow at this point and he throws it on her as well! Her teeth chatter as the snow falls off her face.
"We came from the driest deserts!" And so a bucket of sand is produced and thrown onto Ziggy, she sputters again, blowing the sand off her lips.
"We came from everywhere to bring you the best entertainment in the world!" Ziggy throws her hands up again, some more confetti flies out of her hands. Squiggy throws his hands up at the same time.
"You should tell all your friends to look for us on the street corners, in the ice cream shops, outside of gyms, and on stages to look for Ziggy and Squiggy, the amazing comedy duo!" And at that Squiggy has produced a pie, which is thrown into Ziggy's face. She falls back and lands on her hidden whoopie cushion once again. Getting up she brushes the cream off her face and produces a bottle of seltzer which she shakes up and begins to hose towards Squiggy, the two run around for a moment before darting off into the distance (she never managed to spray him, it almost seemed intentional).
You are walking along the road when your eyes lock onto a trainer's in the distance. At that moment, you both freeze in place. You see a glimmer in the trainer's eyes as he reaches for his Pokeball. "Go, Rattata! Show this chump what we've been training for!" the trainer shouts as he swiftly releases his chosen partner in the vacant space that separates the two of you. How does your character respond?
