Hey @here, Its ya boi Skol, back to drop another HOT announcement!
To help combat server lag, we are currently in the process of purging all pokemon statues; as they count as actual entities and not blocks. At this time, we are not permitting any new ones to be placed down until we see if this has made any impact on our current server issues.
In time, we will allow SOME statues to return once we have a definite awnser. So I ask that you all please bear with us while we go through this turbulent transition, and we thank those of you that have been patient with us thus far.

As a quick reminder announcement, you no longer need to purge statues! Thank you for your help with the cleanup, though for the future please make sure to ask a Staff member before doing so. We also advise you to refrain from putting down statues (or at least keep it to a minimum!)

Hi all! For once this isn't a tech announcement from me but instead is for a game night! After the Pool Party tomorrow, around 10 PM EDT or so, I'll be hosting Among Us in Viridis Gaming. Come have some fun while being an innocent crew mate or suspicious impostor! If enough people are interested, we can do the Town of Us mod but we'll start with just vanilla. Hope to see you there~

Hey Guys! Here it is! The Promised Day! Time to update!
This update is going to fix a couple issues we've been having, namely Toroan Pokemon, as well as adding a few new things, and updating our Resource Pack for the Kibo Festival! But fixing it is going to require some explicit instructions:
We've included some files: customForms.zip
PixelmonForms.cfg
Unzip the customForms.zip INTO/.minecraft/pixelmon/customforms folder - Let it overwrite everything.
Place the PixelmonForms.cfg INTO /.minecraft/config/PixelmonForms - Let it overwrite what is in there.
Next up, the new mod!

ATTENTION: If you use VanillaFix and somehow the animated textures are frozen, make sure that the config option: "textureFixes" is set to false

Hello all! Your friendly neighborhood tech person here! I have come to announce that the Ghost Mansion is back open!!! The issue with it and the rest of the server has been resolved. I apologize for how long it took us to figure it out but nonetheless, we go there in the end. So go enjoy the ghosts and challenging the gym again :DD
Also, I will be hosting another game night on Sunday, July 25th at 7 pm! We will be playing Among Us with both the BetterCrewLink and the Town of Us mods. If you're planning on joining, please have them installed before hand. Let me know if you need help doing so.

Hello everyone! I've come with an announcement from the CM team!
We are proud to announce that both @Gamer and @Queen Heart have completed their CM trial, and are now full fledged CMs! As such, we expect the community to treat their authority as such, and to respond to any CM-related inquiries from them at your earliest convenience, should they contact you about anything CM related.
That said; we also ask that should you have any CM related issues that you come to the CM team first before escalating to a GM, the four of us (Me, Chaos, Gamer and Heart) are always open to talk to you or confide in regarding any issues you may be facing and of course; we all want to do our share to take some work off the backs of our lovely GMs!

Hey folks! Friendly neighborhood community moderator Chaos here. Today we're introducing Tickets!
Tickets are an all-in-one support tool focused on organization and efficiency. Functionally, tickets allow you to reach out to a specific part of staff for help. Making a ticket is also anonymous to non-staff members, and allows staff to see and respond to your concern faster than if you direct messaged someone specifically. Opening a ticket will create a new channel in the tickets category containing you, anyone in the associated role, and the GMs. Spamming / joke tickets will result in a temporary ban.
The groups currently available for communication via tickets are Tech Support, Community Moderators, Event Team, and Misc. Staff. Please refrain from messaging staff members for questions directly if your question falls into these catagories.
We may add more ticket categories if we find the system needs it! In the meantime, we hope you find tickets useful, and feel free to let us know if any system seems to be working incorrectly; bear with us through our growing pains.

Hi everyone! Big announcement here: to lead with it and then explain, I’m stepping down as a GM. I’ve had a good run- seven years!- and the server is in good hands, with an excellent staff and of course a wonderful GM team. This doesn’t mean you won’t see me around on the server anymore! On the contrary, you will hopefully see me a little more, since I’ll be able to devote more time to RP instead of behind-the-scenes obligations and decisions.
I will remain around as a player, and I’ll still be here to provide advice sometimes to staff and to work on projects of the kind I have in the past (such as residential Galena, the Pokemon League, and Toroan Pokemon, to give examples). My characters will still be here too, doing the things they currently do. What I won’t be doing is making GM decisions.
After seven years, I want to be able to spend more of the limited Toro time I have on the ground rather than managing the server. It’s hard accepting that I have a finite amount of time and energy- that I can’t be everything for everyone all of the time- especially for a place I genuinely care about like Toro. This has been a really hard decision, and it’s taken me a long time, but I am sure it’s the right one.
As tempting as it is to end this message with some kind of heartfelt encouragement, I don’t think that’s necessary, because it’s not a goodbye!

Important update regarding ALL FORUM ACTIVITY THAT REQUIRES A RESPONSE FROM STAFF! (This means ICGMs, character profiles, etc.!)
For the foreseeable future, when you submit something to the forums that requires a response/approval from a staff member, please give 24 hours from the initial submission, then open a Staff Misc. Ticket to inform Staff of the submission! The 24 hours grace period allows you to make edits, and allows us to maybe catch the post before you need to open a ticket.
If you already have a post open that has not been responded to/approved at this time, please allow a 6 hour grace period from the posting of this message, then open a Staff Misc. Ticket to inform the staff of the post, as stated above!
We apologize for any and all missed posts and we're doing our best to get on top of them. Remember, the ticket system is there to help; 'abuse' of the ticket system is very narrow, and we won't ban you for a misunderstanding of when to use tickets!

Hey, I don't typically like to push things up, but with the Minecraft/Microsoft account migration, you can no longer use the version of In Game Account Switcher we support...
HOWEVER
The mod author has added support (beta support) for the Microsoft Accounts. It's really easy, I've used it for all three of my four accounts I could migrate and had zero issues. Using it is a breeze. Here's a link for those wanting to update. We'll be updating links and the zip-packs that has that file already in our Technic and everything when we do our next update of the server. Happy playing!

Small Announcement : We're making a small change in how we edit wild shiny pokemon! From now on we'll change the size for you!
Natures/Abilities - all that stuff can be changed with Battle Tower items!
The reason for this change is because while you can buy nature mints & ability capsules with BP, you can't buy size changes- and that's the biggest factor in regards to rp. So! That's why we're making this change, thank you!

Im just here to announce that we'll be preforming a test run of the new 348kbs quality for voice chat that will last a week!
As such, Viridis - Gaming will be boosted up to maximum bitrate. You're more than welcome to use it as wish, and I encourage you to report back to us on if you dislike or like the new change! Should there be no issues, then the 348 rate will become the new standard for all Toro VCs!

Hello everyone,
I’m going to try to make this brief and to the point: After spending a fair bit of this past weekend contemplating things and weighing my position on the server, I have reached the conclusion that the way things have been on my end regarding Toro just simply isn’t sustainable for my mental health, and truthfully; has been poisoning my view and judgement of thing regarding Toro and the friends I’ve made here. I’ve lost sight of the main reason any of us came here; to have fun and enjoy ourselves.
So, after serving as CM for this community for about 3 or 4 years; I think it's time I finally announce my retirement from the position, with the hopes that this will allow me to enjoy the server and its wonderful community once more from a more casual standpoint, as anyone here should be able to do. I’ll still be on staff as part of the App team, but I have no doubt that Gamer, Heart, and Chaos will continue to serve the community well in my absence, as they always have.
And well... that’s about it. I’ll still be a bit absent from Toro for a while longer, but I view this as a fresh new chapter for myself on this server - one that I’m hoping will be a fun and enjoyable time. Thank you for your time and understanding, and I’ll see yall on the flipside!

Hello @everyone, I come with a very important announcement! Toro will be going down for maintenance on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 10:00 AM for 2 to 3 hours. There will be an announcement 15 minutes before it occurs and when it is completed.
The reason this is happening is because we are changing the Linux server on which the Minecraft server resides. Hopefully, if all goes well, you won't notice the change occurred. The domain, or address that you connect to, will still be the same. But on the tech side, we are giving ourselves some quality of life updates that will help us as we work on updating the server(including moving to the next version of pixelmon) in the background.
Once the maintenance is complete, there will be a Toro Blocks and Custom Forms update. Our Technic pack will receive an update but we will also be providing instructions for those who add mods manually.
While the down time is occurring, please feel free to utilize the Toro Roleplay Discord if you need to scratch that roleplay itch. If you wish to join that Discord server and have not already done so, check the pins in

If you have any questions or find an issue after the maintenance occurs, feel free to open a Tech Support ticket!

Hey just a quick PSA for the Distortion World - some of the areas don't have trampolines under them, meaning you'll lose your items if you fall into the void. So make sure you're not wearing chisel items, and/or have backups of them!

Hey fam! We recently opened up Hospital Tickets and RTMP Tickets! This way, instead of pinging and hoping someone sees, and then that person having to find the ping, you can make a ticket to get in easy contact with the related players, in a place where what's going on isn't drowned out by other things going on! The appropriate channel is pokemon-spoilerinos, with an additional thread (BDSP Discussion Thread) available for more in depth & spoiler filled conversations.
If you don't like the game, or don't plan to play it, then we would ask you to refrain from sharing that opinion in a way that detracts from the experience of others who are planning on playing. ATTENTION ARTISTS
As you may be aware, Toro has had the banner function for quite some time. Well- recently Discord has updated the function to accept gifs now, YES! GIFS! So we at staff decided that it'd be an awesome way to showcase several of our community artists (if they want) for the banner, having the images transition between each other.
The rules for a banner are the following:
> 960x540 in size
> Please try to keep things generic. If you need people please use Sam and Hope, our "Default Heroes" for Toro Version.
> Keep it appropriate, this will be on display.

Server is back up! Our apologies but some progress of players were have been on between 12 am EST and when the server crashed has been lost. Staff will try and do their best to replace whatever went into the void of time, but please be respectful of their time and them if not everything can be saved.
Tech team is looking into why the crashing keeps occurring but for now, happy roleplaying!

Hello everyone! I wanted to inform you all that the Toro Minecraft server will temporarily be down for ~10~14 hours starting at December 2nd, 11pm EST. (Thursday, December 2, 2021 11:00 PM)
During this time our host will be checking the server's hardware for faulty parts which could be the cause of the recent crashes and lag. Hey guys! It's come to our attention that there's phishing scam on discord going around again in which access to your account is gained by a hacked user dming links to users on their friends list. This is a reminder to be wary of links sent to you, even if they are prefaced with context such as "I'm working on a game/school project, will you take a look?"
The scammer pretends your friend is doing an assignment for class (or some other reason) and asks you to play the game by clicking on a link. Be careful and don't immediately click on links, even if it's someone on your friend's list. Be especially cautious if it does not have a website preview.
To guard against this, we recommend setting up 2FA on discord; you do not need a phone number for this process but you can use an authenticator app. Stay safe!

Happy Candlenights! The days of asking staff to NBTedit a statue for you is over! Show off all your cute textures appropriately in rp with our new plugin - ShibaPlushies!
We have custom textured - plushies now. For you to place down & pick up with sneak+rightclick!
They do not have exact placement, they seem to default to the center of 4 blocks - but! Hopefully it will save the stress of requesting staff to edit your statue.
PLEASE NOTE: These are still statues, and they will still lag! So please do not abuse them - or statues in general! !A large amount of statues can negatively affect the server. ! Especially if it's in one area!
So please be mindful on how you use your statues. Remember to pick them up, and only use statues sparingly. Thank you!
- A staff is required to generate the plushie. Please do not bother them to help you right away! Instead, we politely request you put in a staff-misc

Hi Everyone! As some of you may be aware, I'm going to be a bit sporadic in terms of activity on toro until the new year rolls in. As a result, Im aware that there are quite a few of you who have been patiently waiting to battle the ghost gym, so... in order to get the ball rolling when I'm fully back, I ask that those who are seeking a challenge from me to DM me and we can start scheduling a date/time for your challenge!
