Hello, you found love? Neat!! here's some stuff you need to plan, before contacting an ET to help set stuff up:
- Locations for: Ceremony & Reception
Your Ceremony and Reception can be anywhere really! Many Toroans tend to have their weddings and ceremonies at the same place even, to prevent travel. A restaurant/catering hall like the Twin Falls Bistro/Mystical Fire is never a bad option though! As long as you have permission from the business owners/mayors. - Just please keep in mind how much space you may need!
You don't need a fancy location for a wedding, you can even just have a fun backyard gathering, or a picnic party at the park! Do what feels right for your characters, be it somewhere special to them, or just fun! - Ceremonies are also completely optional!
It is alright if you want your ceremony to be a private thing composed of family members, close friends, or just the wedding party - Be this a separately RPed occasion, or handwaved to save time, either is fine! It's also alright to focus efforts entirely on the reception party, which you can make be more public! - Know what you need ET help with:
- Building assistance - We love it when you can help build!
- Actor for officiant - We have scripts for several things! You can have a friend officiate it too!
- Reserving the date! - So we can reserve the date ^^
- Themes!
We've had Fairytale Luaus before, ROYAL weddings, and stuff like that! It doesn't need to be so themed, just some colors and certain vibes you want to channel would be a big help! Stuff like activities/fun stuff for the wedding is good to thing about too! [ Examples: Flower Crown making station / trampolines / bouncy castle / pizza making / boats / open stage / bar / dancing ] - Menu!
Consider what food your characters would like, and what kinda wedding cake they would order. Most weddings go for a buffet, but you don't need to! You can have a simple BBQ, or a fancy served meal. - Souvenirs!
It's Toroan tradition to give out a wedding gift to those that came. Staff are happy to provide/spawn things in, and make them into Pokechests. It doesn't have to be anything impressive or special, or anything at all! It's a optional cute thing~ - Advertising!
If you're gonna put out posters/what your #ic-advertisement will look like. If you do this, it'd be good to specify the dress code - and if gifts are allowed. - Wedding Party!
- People like Maid of Honors, Bestmen, ring-bearers, flower girls! It can be fun to think of, but just be reassured it's optional. Some people use their Pokemon instead, or skip it all together! - Skins
- Skins for yourselves and the wedding party(if you have one). There are plenty of tailors ICly ^^ - Traditions & Vows
It'd be good to think about what kind of of script you want the officiant to follow, like for different religions, or a more secular wedding process. Think about what traditions you'd want to honor! Like instead of exchanging rings, you can crown them, tattoos, - or throwing rice! Classic is good too! - Also please think ahead of time if you'll be writing vows to exchange, and if so, please pre-write them!
Consider rping out the process with other people, it's always a great feeling to contribute to something! Like hiring a baker to bake a cake, hiring a caterer for food, someone for flowers, to make gifts, tailor outfits, play music, help decorate, etc! Plus more rp is just fun, right?
