General Questions MC Name: WallySideB Character Name: Yolanda “Yo” G. Hurt Character's Age: 28 Character Alignment: Neutral Evil Why do you believe you are such alignment? Yolanda’s actions are ultimately self-serving, usually going beyond general morality for the sake of her own will and desires. Have you read and are familiar with all server rules, villain rules, and the roll guide? Yes, yes, and yes! What sort of Villain are you looking to be? Yolanda is going to be a “villain for hire”, fulfilling deeds requested by nefarious (or less so) organizations or individuals to try and build a reputation for herself. She wants to forge a path as a criminal, and ultimately gain the respect of others. Why do you as a player wish to play a villain? I want to play a villain because I’d like to try and gain a different perspective from roleplay. Primarily, I’ve roleplayed civilians with a few heroic moments, but I really want to try a character with a different view of things. Also, I think it allows me to tell a different type of story with this character than I’ve ever been able to tell before, and I’m excited to see where it ends up!
Biography: (Summarized from CP)
Yolanda was the daughter of two candy makers who weren’t particularly wealthy. From a young age, she was never good at anything, and couldn’t hold a stable job. She tried many occupations, including being a professional pokemon trainer. From a local professor, she received her first pokemon, a Bulbasaur named Bulby. After constant loss and failure as a trainer, however, she was left scant. This is when she turned to crime, having no other options. She picked pockets and did petty theft to get by, and found herself actually succeeding for once. She did this for quite some time, trying more and more high-scale crimes, until she eventually got caught and lost everything, including Bulby. She was placed into a Juvenile detention center and served time there for a few years, before getting out and resolving to move elsewhere and get back into crime, if only to have something she was good at.
From there she moved to Toro, and joined the Rhyhorn Riders. She did missions with Rider Jamison, including an attack at the Candy Festival, as well as with a motley crew, lead by Rider Billy. In her last stint as a Rider, she and Billy’s crew tried to rob an airplane. However, during the mission she and Billy found themselves in a struggle for power. Ultimately, in a time of weakness for Yolanda, Billy made a quick escape and told more powerful Riders that the mission’s failure was Yo’s fault, causing her to get booted from the Riders. Again Yolanda was at rock-bottom, and again she was made to reconcile with the fact that she had no other outlet, or any means of living. So, she decided to get back to her roots and become a regular ol’ criminal, or, in her own words, a “freelancer”.
What moral boundaries does your character have, if any?
Yolanda doesn’t want to see anyone die, but especially people she’s close to and looks up to. She may even actively go out of her way to save people from death or serious injury, but that doesn’t mean she’ll do it selflessly. Generally, Yolanda also doesn’t “punch down”, and will try to refrain from any acts of crime against those who are disenfranchised or unfortunate. What are some notable strengths of your character?
Yolanda is unapologetic in her effort to obtain the respect of those surrounding her. She is also very clever when it comes to problem solving, and is very good at various criminal activities, like pickpocketing and sneakery. What are some notable weaknesses of your character?
She doubts herself frequently, and has a pretty low standard for her own actions. She’s dishonest, conniving, and loud; generally not a great person to have around. She’s a clumsy person who can make careless mistakes, and isn’t good at most things. Is your character loyal or will they betray others? To what extent?
Yolanda is fairly loyal to anyone that shows her the respect she desires. However, if a person speaks to her with even a slightly sour note in their voice, she’ll think that person is rejecting her somehow, and will do what she can to keep herself in a stable position. What specific acts will your villainy likely consist of?
Theft, Mischief, Vandalism, petty crimes primarily

You hear the doorbell ring outside your door and head to open it. An angry looking woman with a large machoke you can only assume to be a bodyguard, stands at the door way. She begins jabbing a finger at your chest and threatening you to pay your rent. What do you do next?
-- Yolanda looks at the woman with feigned surprise. “Oh come on, doll… I’m sure there’s simply been a misunderstanding! Yeah I-- yeah I know I’ve been late for rent seven months in a row!” She begins to twirl her hair, one to put on a facade of innocence, but one also as a misdirection for her other hand, slowly reaching into her back pocket to pull out a pokeball. “I’ve just come under some tough times recently! Business is slow-- I’m a freelancer, see…” Yolanda slowly retrieves her ball, and activates it in her hand, sending out her Drifblim behind her. “Blimpy-- use hypnosis for me.” The Drifblim attempts to lull the Machoke into sleep with Hypnosis. “See, lady-- people want me to do bad things for them, and I do…” Her body language shifts into something more malicious and intimidating, obviously trying to scare the woman away from her doorstep. “So I suggest givin’ me a little break on rent this month, else one of those bad things were to happen to you, kay?” With that, she takes a step back and slams the door.
While staying at a nearby inn, you happen to overhear two men talking about a heist. You can't make out too many details but they seem to be struggling to find another member to help. What do you do next?
-- Yolanda’s ears perk up at the mention of a heist. That’s exactly what she needs right now: something to take her mind off of her constant crappy state of being. She begins to skulk her way over to the two guys, trying to listen to as much as she can, in case her next plan turns sour. “Gentlemen-- I hear you’ve got some work? Lucky for you two, I’m in the business.” She flashes a toothy grin to the both of them. “Name’s Yo. I do all kinda of skullduggery, unscrupulous deeds, malicious actions; whatever you need done, I’ll do. I’d be happy to do this work for y’all… on one condition: I work alone.” She gets a little less smiley at this part. “I’ve had one-too-many idiot partners in my one-too-many years in a gang, and I’m not gonna have some half-assed bozos who’ll go around yapping about their heist screwing things up. So, the choices are pretty clear: I butt out and let you two handle this, or I do it myself and get you what you want, all while taking my commission of course.” After she finishes her proposal, Yo blinks once, then twice, to punctuate her message.
An old woman has fallen down on the route. She calls for you to help her. You noticed she has nothing but a purse on her but littered around her feet are fainted Pixelmon. What do you do next?
-- Yo approaches the woman, and her face begins to soften into something resembling pity. “Oh, darling! What happened!” She quickly rushes to help the woman to her feet, her own voice softening. “Are you hurt? Did someone hurt you?” Yolanda comforts the old woman physically, in a deep hug, trying to feel her up for a wallet or anything hiding within her clothes. Content with that search, she aims for the purse next. She encourages the woman to go help one of the fainted pokemon, motioning towards it as she begins to help a closer one. However, as soon as the woman’s back is turned she drops the fainted pokemon and approaches the purse to peer through it. She spots a few loose Pix, so she quickly grabs those and pockets it, as well as an old hard candy which she pops into her mouth with delight. She makes sure to straighten back up when the woman turns around, however, quickly ushering her pokemon to her and escorting her on her way.
Team Noir strikes again! You were walking along the route when up ahead you notice a pit hole trap where voices are screaming for help. Two people dressed in black and red stand over the hole and laugh maniacally. What do you do next?
--Yolanda peers at the Noir agents through squinted eyes. Gosh-- she hates these guys. No good suckers with an outdated theme, that’s all they are. It’s possible she’d be able to take their mark out from under them, but she’s not sure if that’s the best course of action he. She really wants to give these suckers what-for. Yo hides in the shadows of some nearby trees, and she sneaks through them slowly. She tries to get behind the two Noir grunts, before spooking them a little. “Really fellas? A pit trap? A little passe these days.” She brushes up between both of them, making sure to pick their pockets as she does so. She bends down and looks at the hole to see two pokemon trainers, scared and calling for help. “Yeah, you got em down there, alright. What’s your plan from here? Leave em? Make them give you their pokemon and THEN leave em?” She sighs and begins to circumnavigate the hole. “See, guys, I hate to lecture- I really do, but this is a completely classless act. Where’s the panache? The Juh Ne Say Kwah as the Kalons would say?” She puts her hands in her pockets and shakes her head. “The state of things these days. Shameful. By the way, I grabbed your wallets.” She holds up her bounty and sticks out her tongue, before breaking into a sprint away from the scene.
A while walking along the sidewalk in Aurelia, a boy in his early teens bumps into you. He has an air of arrogance and he scowls at you only for a moment before continuing to walk. When you pat down your jacket pockets, you've noticed your wallet missing. What do you do next?
--Yolanda’s air of shock quickly turns angry as she realizes what that punk’s done. She grimaces, and turns around quickly, beginning to follow him briskly. She groans after him. “Kid… hey kid! Stop walkin!” Eventually, she breaks into a run to pursue him. “Get back here you little brat! I’m gonna beat your ass!” She shoves people aside in hot pursuit of the kid, trying to trail him. Eventually, seeing him dash into an alleyway, she walks down it in an attempt to corner him. “Now-- let’s make something very clear. What you’re not going to do is steal from me, then run away.” The clop of her heels echoes throughout the Aurelia alleyway as she approaches him. “Now… I hope we can be civilized people, and you can give me back what you took from me. Else-- well, I guess we’ll both find out what happens!”
As an additional note, because your character is a criminal-for-hire, we wanted to mention how your VA intersects with that. Because a villain application is based upon the quality of your rp and the trust of the community, antagonism executed by your character but at the behest of someone else will still fall under your VA. In other words, other characters would not necessarily need a VA to hire yours. If they were to do so repeatedly as part of a long-term villainy campaign or they were going to be directly involved in most of the conflict RP they most likely would need one of their own as well. You can and should check in with the GM team about this if it comes up.
Looking forward to your villainous contributions to the server!
