  • General Questions
MC Name:
ThatAlex
Character Name:
Earnest Young
Character's Age:
28
Character Alignment:
Neutral Evil
Why do you believe you are such alignment?
He acts purely out of selfish desire with only a shred of his past religious beliefs left, and even those are twisted due to his borderline insanity. He still has the intelligence to know to avoid unnecesary conflict, but will not shy away from creating any if it is to his gain.
Have you read and are familiar with all server rules, villain rules, and the roll guide?
tripple yes
What sort of Villain are you looking to be?
One working towards a specific goal, and either not caring or not aware of the damage it will cause along the way.
Why do you as a player wish to play a villain?: It is the direction that makes the most sense for my character to take. I have been hesitating on the doorstep of making a VA for a while now, mostly because i dont know if my RP is good enough to carry such a role, but i suppose it will be determined during my evaluation so its at least worth trying. Apart from that, im really interested in the more sinister aspects of toro. I have mostly been a part of friendly chill rp so far and i would love to see characters in a situation of incredible stress and extremes. It usually brings out interesting sides in them.

Biography: (3-5 paragraphs)
Earnest grew up in Pewter City in Kanto, being a kind of prodigy in terms of physical abilities that made him quickly choose the path of a police officer. Before even being 20 he had a full time job at the force, but no partner pokemon to speak off due to a general disdain for pokemon as a whole. During a raid on a smuggling ring, his force freed a bunch of imported pokemon, among them a chingling which En took into his care temporarily, planning to give it to an old woman living in the woods, who owned a sort of daycare. Things turned out different however when the chingling grew on him, and that woman taught him about Mewism, thus making En change his life's path to that of a ranger. This is what eventually led him to Toro.
He made himself comfortable there rather quickly, joining the Rangers division near Aurelia and supervising the swamp near Ferrite full time. There he quickly built up a larger team, the most notable of which was a ralts, saved from a gang of evil pokemon and badly hurt by Jake's Gyrarados' Z move. It later turned into a Gallade and, along with Chingling, is the most close and loyal of En's pokemon.
This however started as deep hatred for Jake, due to En's strong religious beliefs, and when Jake then started being a wanted criminal, things turned sour for En. He found Jake, or rather Alexander, in the Ferrite swamp at one point and, trying to protect Nora, had both his arms badly hurt to a point where they needed to be amputated.
From that point En his sanity slowly went into a downward spiral, as he felt himself unable to continue his work as a ranger and researching more and more strange methods of regaining his full limb functionality.
The breaking point happened after his pokemon were taken away from him by his former friends, leading him to develop a deep hatred for humans and driving him to abandon big parts of his faith in Mew. This is where we are now.

What moral boundaries does your character have, if any?
Murdering is still something unknown to En. He would be unlikely to take a life easily, but it shouldnt be put past him simply due to his mental instability. Hurting pokemon has also become a bit warped in his head, as he sees any action done by "trainers" as bad, no mater if he treats his own pokemon objectively worse. However, people who have shown him only compassion are people he could not hurt, as even in his broken state he can still see that they would be trying to help him.
Anything apart from that would depend heavily on the situation, though few things would be 100% out of question for him.

What are some notable strengths of your character?
His ability to train pokemon. Though he has never been a trainer by his own definition, he has made sure to learn to teach pokemon to follow commands without question, as he didnt wan to risk his team messing up during Ranger work, which he valued above all else. This makes him somewhat unpredicatble, as its unsure as to what way he could come up with to command his team, since even in the past he has used non-verbal commands to hide his actions from opponents.
His physical strength is also not to be underestimated. Despite missing both of his arms, he is still a formidable opponent in combat due to his raw strength, as long as he is given solid ground to stand on.

What are some notable weaknesses of your character?
Instability of mind makes him unpredictable, not only to others but also himself. Actions he one day did without qualms might disgust him the next, and his general impulsiveness will be a problem for team work with other people.
The fact that he is missing both his arms also makes a lot of regular actions difficult, especially since he only has personally trained pokemon to help him with this, not the professionally trained Abra's people like Dionysus could have provided.

Is your character loyal or will they betray others? To what extent?
It is rather dependent on the person, or persons in question, as well as the current stability of En's mental state, though it is fair to say certain people, such as his almost adopted daughter Nora, he would be unable of hurting 99% of the time. This also extends to his former team of pokemon, as he has formed a deep emotional bond with all of them.
Other than that, he is only loyal to his goals.

What specific acts will your villainy likely consist of?
Experimentation and raids. This will almost surely require the help of other people. which might be problematic due to En's poor people skills, though it isnt unlikely that he can find people with aligning goals that might want to use En's strentghs.
His end goal is to regain control of his arms, as well as a general goal of taking people's pokemon away, if he thinks they aren't well treated, though his definition of that has become warped and twisted.

Answer these five questions IC as if you were accepted. We will be watching for power-gaming, meta-gaming or anything unrealistic.

You hear the doorbell ring outside your door and head to open it. An angry looking woman with a large machoke you can only assume to be a bodyguard, stands at the door way. She begins jabbing a finger at your chest and threatening you to pay your rent. What do you do next?
The door was opened by a rather Angry looking, and rather large, Ledian. It didnt appreciate the poking at all, but was too well mannered to unleash its punches without command, instead chirping out for En. He took a few moments to get up from the basement, looking the woman over as he walked up to the door and simply asked "Anything i can help you with?"
She looked mad still, the machoke behind her letting out an almost growling sound. "Rents due" She said simply, to which En nodded thoughtfully. After a few moments he replied "Dont have it" and simply ordered the Ledian to shut the door closed with a head nod. The woman was yelling outside about calling the police, which En didnt mind. He would be out of here in a few hours anyway, though he did remember that Nora would need a place to stay despite all this. Reluctantly, he whistled a floor up, and a Leavanny looked down curiously. He had the ledian open the door again and growled "how much" wo which the woman simply said the price, obviously trying to supress her rage. En told the leavanny the amount and it ran up, quickly coming back with a stack of cash, some of the last En had stocked away. He had the pokemon hand it to the woman and then closed the door again, presuming the mater done. Annoyed mumbling came from outside, but apart from that, it seemed like En had his peace again.

While staying at a nearby inn, you happen to overhear two men talking about a heist. You can't make out too many details but they seem to be struggling to find another member to help. What do you do next?
Intruiged, En got closer, trying to discern any more details, but failing to due so as they had moved on. He had no choice but to approach, whistling over an imposing Elctivire to stand next to him as he walked closer.
"Evening gentlemen, couldnt help but overhear your discussion." He quickly shushed them, seeing their alarmed expressions "Its fine, im no lawman, but if you tell me the details i might be able to help out"
They were clearly not taking him seriously alone, due to his sunken eyes and lack of about 50% of his limbs, but the stoic electivire next to him did the job of making him look professional enough.
"Its a raid on a nearby bank, seems they have some of the most cash and least security around here. We would... hey!" one of the man shouted after En, as he had already started to leave. This was not one of his goals, and though he could use money, these seemed like incompetents to a great extend, seeing as how openly they were talking about their plans.

An old woman has fallen down on the route. She calls for you to help her. You noticed she has nothing but a purse on her but littered around her feet are fainted Pixelmon. What do you do next?
En's expression stiffens as he approaches, commanding out his entire team. The pokemon picked up the fainted pokemon of the woman, carrying them over their shoulder, and, with the help of his elctivire controlling his prosthetics, even if crudely, En collected the woman's pokeballs."H-help, what are you doing" She said, but En didnt respond. He despised people who couldnt treat their pokemon correctly, and this woman was clearly among those, she simply had to be. Otherwise her team wouldnt be lying around fainted and wounded. Without another word he walked off, leaving her to be discovered by whoever walked by next. The pokemon he saved from her would find a good home with him, a structured home, where they could learn to follow someone who wouldnt make them fail.

Team Noir strikes again! You were walking along the route when up ahead you notice a pit hole trap where voices are screaming for help. Two people dressed in black and red stand over the hole and laugh maniacally. What do you do next?
En stepped closer, followed closely by his team as ever. The two Noir grunts, alarmed, quickly spun around and threatened to release their own pokemon, but En gave his electivire a glance, making his lift the prostethic arms in a non threatening gesture.
"Its fine its fine, im not here to stop you. Those people down there have any pokemon by chance?" The grunts looked at each other, shrugging. They seemed somewhat intimidated enough by En's team, but not enough to not stand their ground.
"Then this is not my concern, have a good day" En responded simply, as he walked past the hole, not even giving the people trapped in it a glance. He despised people, and what would it hurt to make a few of them feel some embarrassment under the ground.

A while walking along the sidewalk in Aurelia, a boy in his early teens bumps into you. He has an air of arrogance and he scowls at you only for a moment before continuing to walk. When you pat down your jacket pockets, you've noticed your wallet missing. What do you do next?
As soon as the boy had walked past, his team alerted him of his missing wallet. It was a habit En had found himself unable to abandon, even though a wallet was highly impractical for someone like him. He quickly rushed after the boy, ordering his Archeops to sprint as quickly as it could. Being as fast as it was, the bird quickly caught up with the kid, trying to bite his leg to make him stop. The boy managed to just avoid it, with the help of a grimer which quickly slung around his leg, making Archeops recoil from even the slightest taste. Seeing this however made En furious, as the suffering of his pokemon was not something he would accept. With one simple whistle, his rhyperior sent rocks shooting directly at the kid, who abruptly stopped, scared out of his mind now.
With a glare in his eyes, and ready to yell him down, En approached, but his electivire simply made the prostethics snatch the wallet back, being unable to properly read En's body language in such an extreme situation. This surprise En enough to snap him out of his rage, and made him simply continue walking, making sure to stare the boy down for a few moments, so he wouldnt attempt something like that again. The grimer could be dealt with later, as it would have been foolish to free from a kid who might still have potential to use it correctly.
