History: Daphne was born to her parents in 1190 in the Region of Kalos. She was a curious child, always out exploring the woods. It was because of her close proximity to the woods that her love of all things plants spawned. She studied and excelled at them, and she skipped two grades because of it.
At fourteen, she startled a wild Fennekin, the Fennekin blasted her face with Ember, burning the skin around her right eye. She was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors were, amazingly, able to save her sight. At age fifteen, she was back in the wood. This time she came across an enraged scizor, who attacked her when she tried to run away. This lead to her large scar on her back.
However, when she graduated High School at sixteen, her father left her family to be with his mistress. Her mother became distant, and Daphne distracted herself with her college coursework.
It was during her college years that she met her Phantump in the field, she was lost and alone, and Daphne decided to take care of her. It was around then that her mother fully closed herself off, becoming a heavy alcoholic and blaming it all on Daphne. Her home life because extremely unwelcoming to her and so Daphne opted to take summer courses and stay on campus to graduate faster
Due to this, Daphne Graduated at Twenty years old with a Bachelor’s degree in Botany. She decided to move out of Kalos to get away from the past, and thought Toro would be a good start.
Nature
Personality: Daphne, in layman’s terms, Is a massive dork, While kind she’s often aloof and lost in thought. When speaking about a subject that interests her she’ll tend to ramble.
Strengths: Daphne is a very patient woman, nothing tends to make her angry nor offend her. She’ll often listen to someone and help them through their problems. She’s quick on the uptake and can understand things rather quickly.
Weaknesses: While she’s kind, Daphne doesn’t trust easily, she’ll hold people at an arms length because she doesn’t want to get attached only for them to leave her or turn against her like her parents did. As such, she doesn’t open up nor stay around others that often.
Another Weakness is she that while she’s patient she doesn’t allow for others to interfere with her work. She’ll make them wait until it’s at a safe spot for her to leave it.
