Tell us a little about yourself: Hi there! My names Rybonator, but Ryan is totally fine! I have played pokemon for ages, and have always wanted to do some Pokemon RP! I'm a hardcore D&D Nerd and love to make my own tabletop accessories like Dice and terrain. Hope to meet you soon!

What is roleplaying? Acting as if you ARE the character for the game in which you are playing.

What is meta-gaming? Using outside knowledge to manipulate the game. (I.E, min-maxing a character or cheating because you know the outcome of an event.)

What is power-gaming / god-modding? Becoming Overpowered, so that YOU are above other characters in power, when it SHOULD be equal.

What is retroactive continuity? Keeping the backstory sound (The same.). Changing things that have already happened is a no-no.

What is the difference between in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC)? IC means saying something AS YOUR CHARACTER (Ex, "I pick up the apple and eat it.") VS AS YOURSELF (Ex, "I can't keep playing, My Ma says it's dinner time. Later!")

Do you have previous experience playing on a RP server? Yes! But in World of Warcraft a long time ago. I play Dungeons & Dragons a lot, so it'll be interesting getting used to text instead of acutlly talking.

Full name: John Lane

Age: 30

Appearance: John is a tall man standing at 6'1, and a burly 190 lbs. His bearded face stands in contrast to his bald head. A fervent lover of gold, there is rarely a day where John will not be seen without something shiny and golden on his person. He has a rough exterior, but kind blue eyes to match his blonde and brown beard. Often wearing blue jeans and black jackets, he never comes off as showy, though his love for the yellow metal is always apparent.

Personality: Dedicated but kind, John wants to work with others to accomplish his goals. He wants to capture and train powerful Pokemon, but by earning their respect, the same way he does with his friend. He doesn't care if his Pokemon are powerful to begin with, as through training, they will become the best versions of themselves together! John will go out of his way to help those in need, but always makes his intentions quite clear. He wants to be great, and one day, he truly believes that he will. John is a dreamer and an optimist, possibly to a fault. But if you ever need someone to lean on John, is your man.

Biography: John grew up in Mahogony Town, watching league matches on TV during long snowstorms. John's father was a trainer, and a darn good one. John always hoped to see him on TV one day, but never got to see his father compete at the league level. Now that John is older, he wants to train with his pokemon to make his Mom & Dad proud, but more importantly, himself. John has saved up enough money to go train in the new Toro league, in the hopes of one day achieving greatness.

Flaws: Often shoots too high. Doesn't let things go - Will rarely leave an argument until it is settled. Won't just let people be- is often butting his nose in trying to help if he feels something is wrong.

Ambitions: One day John wants to be recognized as a great trainer, either by running a gym of his own, or coaching other trainers once he retires!

You find yourself standing in a bustling town. Suddenly, a small girl runs up to you, her eyes seeming to glisten with fresh tears as her bottom lip quivers. “Please!” She cries out to you, “You must help me! My poor Meowth is stuck in a tree!” She points to a nearby tree as more tears spill out of her eyes and down her cheeks. How does your character respond?
John squats down to be eye level with the girl. "Hey, it's gonna be alright kiddo.' John says to the girl calmly. "We've gotta be calm to let Meowth know that it's alright to come down ok?" John wipes a tear from the girls eye as she nods in agreement. John is a tall man, and could easily reach the meowth hanging in the tree, but decides that it would make the little girl feel better if she was able to rescue her pet. "Ya know what kid, I don't think I can quite reach. But I bet with your help I could!" The girl smiles and looks up at John. He reached out and lifts her up so that she can stand up on his shoulders and easily reach the feline pokemon. She reaches out for the Meowth and it scurries back into her arms, no longer afraid of the height that it finds itself in. The girls laughs and plays with her reunited friend as John sets her back down and tussles her hair. "Keep a better watch on him OK?" John smiles as the kid runs off to play with her friend. John isn't sure if she heard him at all, but he smiles and laughs to himself as he continues his walk.

After arriving in Toro a cheerful woman walks up to you, a clipboard in her hand. “Hello and welcome to Toro! I would like to ask where you came from and why you came, as well as where you plan to go. All for for statistical reasons of course.” she asked with a bright smile as she held a pen to her clipboard. How does your character respond?

You are walking along the road when your eyes lock onto a trainer's in the distance. At that moment, you both freeze in place. You see a glimmer in the trainer's eyes as he reaches for his Pixelball. "Go, Rattata! Show this chump what we've been training for!" the trainer shouts as he swiftly releases his chosen partner in the vacant space that separates the two of you. How does your character respond?
John reaches into his pocket for his Pixelball as he eyes the trainer sharply. "No need to be rude there buddy, but if a battle is what you want, I bet I could spare a few minutes." John says coolly, trying not to let the trainer know his excitement for his first match of the day. John tosses his Pixelball deftly onto the empty space, as his Larvitar roars in anticipation. John and Larvitar both seem to come alive in the heat of the impending battle. John's eyes light up, "Let's do this!"
