ANYWAY, ONTO THE INFORMATION YOU GUYS NEED TO KNOW.
As it stands right now, all mod items are going to need to be replaced. This is no real reason to be alarmed. No one's gonna lose anything, so no worries. However, for this transition to be as smooth as possible, there are a few things you guys need to do and be mindful of:
- - Moving all items into vanilla MC chests and taking screenshots of your possessions will help ensure that all items you own smoothly make it through the 1.7.10 update. This means don't leave anything in your inventory or any mod-provided containers, such as bedside cabinets, fridges, etc., and make an imgur album of your items. Putting stuff in Ender chests is fine, but it will be difficult for us to move mod items from within them, so hold off on that if you can.
- Our plan for the update is to make a copy of the 1.6.4 world so that when we update, we can look back on it to replace items.
- During the replacement process, you will see GMs and ETs running around like Farfetch'd with their heads cut off. This is because we have determined the best way to replace the items is to just do it on the main server. So, please don't poke fun too much at us, and don't let it disrupt your RP. Oftentimes, we'll be vanished, but in the event a random person appears in your home and digs through your chests, just ignore them and know it's server update work.
Our update day is maybe hopefully the 29th of September.
In the meantime, Kampfkater will be working on a possible - but so far unlikely - fix to the mod item issue. Odds are we will have to replace everything, however, so please take caution and go ahead taking your screenshots and moving your items to vanilla chests.
The upcoming update is all gonna be pretty hectic for the next couple weeks, but it will be a hurdle that we, as a community, must get over so that we can progress and make a brighter future and server for us all. We hope that you all will cooperate and help us get this done. Go team!
