Freshman Year (1076-1077)
First Semester
Class: Fundamentals Chemistry I & Fundamental Chemistry I Laboratory
Grade: B
Reason:
Chemistry has.. Never been Ray's strongest side. She hasn't focussed much on it during her time studying with Dion, it never came up so she hadn't had the same lead here as she did most other things.
Even still, she quickly took to the topic and found lab work rather enjoyable, quickly taking to the experimental approach of things, she felt right at home.

Even still, with the amount of work she had to deal with there wasn't as much time to study this as she had hoped and that showed in her grades.

Class: Introduction to Computing for Engineers and Scientists
Grade: A+
Reason:
Ray had somewhat of an unfair advantage here. She's worked with Dion prior to applying and worked on basic computing for a simple camera in motion before any proper classes. A lot of it was self thought, but it did mean she basically knew most of the material already before even taking the classes.

Class: Engineering Physics I
Grade: A
Reason:
Newton's Laws, conservation of energy, momentum and spacial relativity were all old news to Ray, as noted before it's one of the things she knew thanks to Dion and her own studies before even applying. Ray isn't a physicist by any stretch of the imagination but these basic concepts were not too hard to grasp for her.
Freshman Year (1076-1077)
Second Semester
Class: Engineering Physics II
Grade: A-
Reason:
Simple AC circuits, electricity and magnetism were equally something she had heard of before and although the subject material was a little tougher, she mostly aced the tests with hard work and the support of her family.

Class: Unovan Composition I
Grade: B
Reason:
Despite the fact it wasn't that though a class, she couldn't keep her attention and didn't care to study it as a result. Other things took priority and it mostly boiled down to some last-minute note taking hoping she could just sail along on her good grades with the things she cared about.

Notably, that note taking wasn't the best example of argumentative writing and she would not want to write any studies..

Class: Calculus I
Grade: A-
Reason:
Ray's good at math, simple as that. She studied hard, it interested her, and that showed in her grades.

Class: Toro History
Grade: B
Reason:
She found history interesting, she had the luck of getting along with her teacher even if they sometimes disagreed. The girl tried 'really' hard to cram as much information into her brain as she could, but sadly she's somewhat poor about remembering the things she couldn't care as much about.

Because of that, subjects that didn't interest her fell kind of to the wayside in favor of the ones she did care about leading towards certain parts of the tests flawlessly filled in followed by portions she wouldn't know to this day.

(OOC: I'm a little late on these, so I'll be posting the other two tomorrow and the final once the year wraps up. A lot happened over the course of three years, and I'd like to think hard on how it affected her grades.)

Summary: This was a great year for Ray, most of her free time not spent with Kal was spent studying, even going as far as to bring her books with her on the back of her metagross to study there.

Note: I spent half a hour writing up great reasons for the grades and what Ray had been doing during the time. Then as I clicked submit,it brought me to the login screen in stead and I lost all progress.
FML. Have this in stead, imagine the reasons are great.

Junior Year (1077-1078)
First Semester
Class: Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering
Grade: A+
Reason: This came as naturally to Ray as walking. Electronic devices and more modern digital systems were something she always excelled at starting with an interest in electronics at a very young age, and although the more basic mechanical concepts is something she enjoys automation through signals and computers has always been something that caught her interest.

When the girl was still in base school professor Lilly explained to her that 'electricity liked to live in the ground'-That's always stuck with her, even if she's come a long way since then. She even still has the necklace..

Class: Thermodynamics II
Grade: C-
Reason: Oh man, something she really wasn't too great at.. As opposed to electrical engineering, physics (Including thermodynamics) has never been her forte. Gas and vapor power cycles, whilst she understood them, didn't come as naturally as the rest.

Chemical reactions were even more difficult, she understood phase equilibrium well enough but when it came to the actual numbers and the relations between different fluids and their transitional states Ray sadly drew the short end of the stick. She studied-But admittedly not nearly as hard as she should have. The interest just wasn't there.

Class: Fluid Mechanics
Grade: B-
Reason: More physics! Had Dion not been so great at explaining things back when she would've failed spectecularly. Still, with hard work she managed to pull a B-, which she took.

Class: Mechanics of Materials
Grade: B+
Reason: Oh man.. This was a fun one for her! Besides the studying she did she even set up small models to simulate stress to help her understand what she was doing.

Previous projects helped her with this as well, so as per usual Ray had a bit of an edge. Still, t'was a difficult class.

Class: Concepts in Design and Manufacturing & Design and Manufacturing Lab
Grade: B+
Reason: Oh gods.. Teamwork? Project planning, management, user management and such really wasn't her thing.. That being said. She excelled at concept generation and selection along with design developtment. So all in all, it balanced out.
Junior Year (1077-1078)
Second Semester
Note: Diseaster struck the second semester of this year.. During the Kibo Festival Darkrai showed up and Ray stepped up in an attempt to help. Sadly, she was directly confronted with the fact she had never been too strong a girl and narrowly avoided dying to one of the creatures coming out of said hole.

This shook the girl to her core, she broke down and retreated inwards for a while, acting in a state of shock. Had it not been for Dion, Kaliq and her family to pull her out of this she may have failed all her classes. Even still, this reflected heavily on her grades..

Class: Engineering Economy
Grade: C-
Reason: Her mind just.. Wasn't there. Add onto that fact that economy wasn't her strong suit, Ray really couldn't focus. She spent the time of the test staring at her paper, doing quiet calculations in her head trying to get the correct answers.

But her mind just wasn't on it.

Class: Mechanical Engineering Progress Assessment II
Grade: A-
Reason: She's usually great at engineering, she's almost always great at her classes (Barring the physics and economy lessons and any large scale project management including a lot of other students), so her assesment went well.

Class: Heat Transfer
Grade: C-
Reason: Something..Something.. Phase transitioned until it hit an equalibrium. Now. What was that number again..?

Again, her mind really wasn't in this one. She couldn't focus, numbers were drifting and though she tried to study most of her time was spent locked in her room, reading. What happened during the festival hit her hard.

Class: Measurement and Instrumentation
Grade: B-
Reason: Yeah, she knew this stuff. She knew this stuff out of the top of her head, computer-based data acquisition techniques, uncertainty analysis, these were things she's done before and will do again.

When that test came however.. It was just really hard to focus.

Class: System Dynamics and Controls
Grade: C+
Reason: She's worked on projects before, she knows how things go. Still.. It's hard to focus.

Class: Machine Design
Grade: C
Reason: Ray worked on projects before, large scale projects with several parties. She's helped Dion in his lab, he thought her most of what she knows in fact.

Still, all the knowledge in the world didn't help the fact her mind was absent during all of the tests themselves.

Senior Year (1078-1079)
First Semester
Class: Comprehensive Design I
Grade: A-
Reason: The previous year was though.. But she spent time studying during the vacation to make up for the fact, even though she didn't have any tests. This last year she went into it guns blazing, and she thought she aced it. In the end, Ray really enjoys her classes. Her project designs were good and her problem solving even better. Because of all of that, she managed to get an A-.

Class: Fundamentals of Applied Electromagnetics
Grade: B+
Reason: Electromagnetic theory was great fun, but that didn't make it any less difficult of a class. The girl knew her algebra and having Dion as a teacher certainly helped, that being said.. She's no Ross. Studying hard got her a B+

Class: Electric Power Engineering
Grade: A-
Reason: She knows her electrics, she knows her engineering. It's no big surprise she aced this.

Class: Analog Electronics
Grade: A
Reason: To study for this class Ray made her own circuitry, took apart the computer she used for the E.D. project, then put it back together. Good fun, and something she's always had interest in.

Class: Random Signals and Systems
Grade: B-
Reason: 'Sure' it may seem random, but it's actually just math! And she's good at math! - Still, improbability meant she couldn't always predict everything and analyzing random noise and signals was a bit of a bore.

Class: Unovan Composition II
Grade: C-
Reason: Ray.. Honestly forgot she had this class. She didn't think she'd need it and thus it was tossed to the wayside. She barely passed.
Senior Year (1078-1079)
Second Semester
Class: Comprehensive Design II
Grade: B+
Reason: Barely missing the mark on an A, Ray excelled at building prototypes and as her presentation Ray showed off a functional drill she spent a good while on, completely on scale and with it's own power unit based entirely around the help of Magnemite!

Having a boyfriend whom excels in metallurgy and with her teacher is cheating anyways. Oh, the drill managed to carry ore down a conveyor dropping it off at the starting point. She just..
Hadn't considered the human element, the lack of safety measures got her some marks off. Still, she reasoned as long as nobody was 'dumb enough to put their arm into a moving conveyor' things should be fine. The teachers disagreed.

Class: Electrical System Design Lab
Grade: A
Reason: Yeah she aced this. Spent a good while locked in her room studying, but still! It was worth it.

Class: Electromagnetics for Wireless Communication
Grade: B-
Reason: This.. Really wasn't as interesting for Ray as most other things. Whilst she was good at algebra and the equations weren't too difficult the concept itself was hard to grasp.

Almost in the literal sense. The fact there was nothing tangible to hold onto and everything was purely theory (And the things that weren't she couldn't actually 'see') made this rather difficult.

Class: Communication Systems
Grade: B+
Reason: Pulse code modulation, line coding, information rate, this was all very, very fascinating and the interest was definitely there. She suffered from the same issues as her Wireless Communication classes, but to a lesser extend.

Class: Control Systems
Grade: A-
Reason: System analysis! Yeah, there was a ton of studying for this one. She managed to get herself an A, but only barely.

Class: Senior Design Projects
Grade: A
Reason: Work work work, there wasn't much time for the girl. She wanted to make sure her final projects were PERFECT. All in all, she did pretty well!

Typically I would have told you to fix the stuff that the login timeout broke but that pic pushed me over the edge. Congratulations, Ray has now graduated with her degree!
