History: Lawerence was born into low class household with a sickly ill mother, and a deceased father. He was put up for adoption at the early age of a few months old, and a year later, died. Lawerence grew up without knowing either of his parents, only learning about them around age 10.

At age 2, he was adopted into a mining guild in Oreburgh City. The guild prided itself on having a legacy of found family, so they recruited many kids from the orphanage that Lawerence was from. Lawrence was the youngest of the lot but was just as excited as the rest to have a family.

As a boy, he seemed bewildered by the power and skills of the miners and wanted to become one when he got older. The chief recognized this drive and raised him to have him take over the business when he came of age. As he gained more knowledge, he was able to be more helpful in the tunnels as he and his Teddisura were able to carry things around to help assist the miners. The Chief of the Guild had a very close relationship with the young boy, as he saw how determined he was to keep up with older adopted siblings.

At age 12, after studying hard as an apprentice, Lawerence finally got to go on his own trip down by himself, but unfortunately, it wouldn't be the experience he had hoped for. As he descended into the cave, the cord connected to his torso fell apart, and he began to panic as he could not get out quickly. As Lawerence and Teddisura were trying to get out, the boy fell to his knees, finding it extremely hard to breathe, and passed out while trying to get out. The last thing he could see were dark, grim walls as he tired his head everywhere.

Fortunately for the both of them, they were saved by the chief and his trusty Ursaring, who was able to reach them in breakneck speeds after pulling the cord back up and noticing it was lighter than before. He grabbed the tired Teddiursa and unconscious boy and had Ursaring dig to escape the cave. Lawerence was rushed to a hospital, where he recovered in a few hours after being given a few meds and pumps of oxygen.

Lawrence's doctor explained the situation to the chief; Lawerence had experienced an asthma attack due to being underground without anything protecting his vital air-circulate areas because he was. The chief was relieved that was the only thing that had happened because he just got a mask. However, this whole experience was more traumatic than he hoped. Lawerence became afraid of going too far in the mines and became jaded in his own skills as a miner. However, he decided to not voice his opinions for fear of everyone being disappointed in him due to him being groomed to take over in the future.

Eventually around the age of 15, Lawerence's fears caught up with him as he heard the chief speaking about retirement soon to one of the older guild members. Lawerence decided to interrupt the conversation and tell the Chief the truth, about how his heart hasn't been in it for a long time.

The Chief was slightly saddened that his successor wasn't going to truly succeed him, he wanted the best for him. He directed him to explore the world to find something else that he can strive for. He mentioned that many of the miners that quit the job decided to become Pokemon trainers due to the fact that they already know how to work with strong Pokemon. With that advice in mind, Lawerence agreed to research regions that he could visit with strong trainers.

He wrote a letter to all with muted families at the guild, documenting his experiences with them and how they changed his life. Then, he set out to the region of Toro to chase his dreams, at age of 16.

Personality: Lawrence is a hard worker who seeks to adapt to any situation that is pushed upon him. He went from being an orphan to joining a guild of miners to being an apprentice of the chief, and now becoming an aspiring Pokémon Trainer who can use his prior skills to benefit himself and Pokemon.

Though quick to adapt to his surroundings, he is terrified to approach things that cause him anxiety. His experiences underground caused him to get scared of small areas and the depths of the land and sea.

Despite having some problems working well together initially (due to being the chief's Pokémon), the two slowly formed a bond. A bond that would help them get through their shifts and win battles easier than usual. Lawrence took him to Toro with him.
