**A horrid smell wafts out from the alley behind the apartments on Nidoqueen Road in Aurelia**

The scene in the alley is a gruesome one, the body of a man lays in a pocket between two apartments. The body is covered in severe slash wounds, the wounds going over most of his body and one on his cheek. Upon closer inspection the wounds would seem to be...burnt? Perhaps that was what was giving off the horrid scent. Or perhaps the horrid smell came from the blood that covered the area around the body. Either way it was very easy to tell that whatever happened to this man must of happened very recently.

The man's body seemed to be in...decent condition if you don't include the severe slash wounds in that assessment that is. Meaning that the body was clearly 'fresh' with no signs of decaying anywhere. Besides the slashed up body and the blood splattered all over the alley something else stuck out. There were words written out on the wall nearest the victim's body, the words being written by the victim in his own blood as he died. The words seeming pretty strange as they only said...

While on a walk around Aurelia, Stanley and Torchic' quiet conversation is interrupted by an unusually horrid stench meeting the pair's noses. After disposing of the day's lunch in the nearest bush, Stanley plugs his nose as Torchic guides him toward the source.

After having a glimpse at the body and ridding himself of breakfast in much the same manner as he had done with lunch, Stanley inspects the body for a moment, and notes the writing. He walks over to the Aurelia government building in hopes of finding Jay.

Roxanne Blake was not a fan of murder, especially when it interrupted her smoke break. Picking up the scent over her lit up cigarette, she abandoned her storefront and wandered towards the source. The woman was slouching, annoyed at customers, her busy schedule, and now this awful smell. That annoyance turned into fear as she stepped behind the building and saw someone and the pool of blood. The woman stood frozen still, a good distance away from the body.

Her first instinct is to scream, her second is to look around while cursing, scared that the perpetrator might still be there. Roxanne's third action would to take a long smoke as she heads also to the police building.

Benji sits in his office in Viridis, dealing with some paperwork.

Fredrick is sitting in the Ferrite Pixelmon Center, reading the newspaper (which is woefully out of date).

Annette sits in her house in Ferrite, stroking Gardien's fur as he sleeps.

Chaz was making his usual jog through Aurelia with his Arcanine. As usual he check every crevice of the city for crime. But this time he noticed an unusual stench coming from an alley. Naturally he inspected it and what he saw almost made him throw up, but he's seen worse and kept it down. He immediately ran to Jays house in Canvas to report the gruesome scene.

If Donogood was here he would have said he did it and would have warned everyone not to mess with him and Fishington.

The Don is walking around Aurelia, looking for good places to place his new mafia policy ads. As he's carrying some big posters, measuring certain buildings he notices a familiar smell. A smell he believes he has encountered before, or at least a smell that smells very much alike something he encountered before. He walks around the building towards the smell and sees someone in a pool of blood on the floor. He grimaces a bit as he approaches the body. He kneels down next to the body, makes a handgesture that looks like the form of an /M/ and speaks these words. "May the Mafia be with you on your travels towards equality and trust." As he's kneeling down he sees the words written in blood, it makes him think back of something he used to do to scare the crap out of people. He realizes this is most likely a morbid example to scare people of something that's coming. He reaches down the man's jacket and feels for a wallet or a passport.

Captain Balraj Sagara is making a walk to the only bar he knew of in town, a sturdy glass bottle in his hand that has been nearly emptied. He dips his head back and takes another long drink. Tentacles from an Omanyte sitting on his back constrict very slightly around the man's neck to prevent the Pixelmon from slipping off. The tentacles are threaded throughout the collar of his Navy jacket, the loose strands of the man's hair, and his mustache. The Captain pays no mind to the man that passes by him, but upon coming closer to an alleyway, he stops from an all-too familiar stench. He lowers his bottle and perks an eyebrow as he takes a step between the buildings. He sees the man kneeling down first, then the body he is pilfering with, to which he takes a drink. He lowers the bottle and scans the blood splattered on the wall, then eyes the smeared words, but his gaze quickly averts back to the body as he couldn't read what the words were saying. Without much more of an emotional reaction than a blank stare and a slight pull upwards of a corner of his mouth, he shakes his head and takes a drink. He didn't expect things like this to happen here and noted to keep up a better guard. Lowering the bottle, he looks at the man and speaks up, "Ye look too clean to be a looter, mate, or are ye returnin' to the scene?"

A small pidgey flying lazily overhead swoops down upon nearing the scene, as if it had noticed the crowd or the smell. It lands quietly on the building above. The pidgey's wings flap wildly for a moment in surprise at seeing the blood on the wall before it calms down, glancing slightly to its left, then its right. It watches the scene unfolding below carefully from the rooftop nearby.

Were any of the observers closer, they might notice that the pidgey's eyes appear... blue...

Benji yawns, standing with a light groan of protest. He scratches at his chin, trying to decide what to have for lunch. Deciding on a nice grilled Farfetch'd parmesan salad, he opens his fridge.
He frowns upon seeing the empty state of said fridge, and heads off to Aurelia to check the stalls there for fresh meat. Upon arriving, he notices the crowd and dismounts, walking over. "Ah... what's going on here?" He doesn't notice the body yet.
