Justin Daniels's Application

Post: # 11976Post Justin93Daniels »

(Hope you don't mind the additional details I've added. I know this kind of thing could be tedious, so I figured I'd spruce it up for y'all to enjoy as well.)

—Player Questions—
Minecraft Username: Justin_Daniels

Age: 22

Where did you hear about us: Ironically, I was browsing Google and came across the Toro main page at the top. I've actually seen the website before, but never really had much time to actually apply, due to a few life-related issues. I used to go by just "JustinDaniels" as a MC username, but unfortunately my e-mail address associated with that account was deleted. (NEVER trust Hotmail, by the way! They'll eventually delete you!) I was planning on applying as that, but don't know if I ever did or not.

Tell us a little about yourself: Well, Dianne... is it alright if I call you Dianne? (Just kidding. Roll with it. ) I am what most would refer to as a "High-Tech Redneck" of sorts. I have Asperger's Syndrome, and may very well be the living embodiment of Forrest Gump. I could even make a near-perfect "Box of Chocolates" reference, if you'd like!

Uh, no. That won't be necessary: My mom always told me... wait, really? *Sighs*. Okay.

—Roleplay Questions—
[ Please use your own words. ]

What is roleplaying? Roleplaying, or RP'ing, is like acting as a character in a play, or a movie. What you say, do, or respond to, doesn't count as what you would do, but rather, what your character says, does, and responds to. Think of it more like an interactive movie/story, where what happens must be canonical to the plot, with little to no references to the real world. (IE: We're obviously humans. We would refer to the humans as humans, and not "Steves".)

What is meta-gaming? Well, Dianne-
And stop calling me that! Well, ...person that's glaring at me (or laughing your butt off... or both), Meta-Gaming is basically using real-world details and knowledge, and exploiting it through the game. Say, for example, somewhere in the world, a wild Kyogre appeared! To Meta-Game is basically to skip across the lake, find that Kyogre, and just spam-throw them Pokeballs like they're on fire! Or... something like that. You could also say, "Hey, Bob! Nice to meet you!", while Bob has no freakin' clue who the heck you are, or what the heck was in your last bottle of MooMoo Milk.

What is power-gaming? Well, D-
Don't even think about it. Twice is enough! *Sigh* Fine! Anyways, ~Mom-
*Grrr...* - Power-Gaming is to, in my own words, play God over the situation. Whatever you say goes, and what you do happens, regardless of what the other player says. This, of course, isn't allowed in this server, as it would be unfair for the others. Let's be honest, that would be terrible for the community, and could potentially result in the loss of interest from other players, knowing that "Mr. KingKongIsABeastMode" will wipe out their team with his single Level 2 Caterpie that he nicknamed Lil' Mac for the reason of "Why not, Wynaut?". Am I wrong?

No... and you certainly have a strange way of putting things. Oh, trust me, that isn't the half of it! Imagine a guy named Larry, with his Level 10 Meowth just walking through the town, when-

Anyways, *Clears throat*... What is retroactive continuity? Retroreactive Continminuity-
Ret-ro-ac-tive Con-tin-u-i-ty! Right! That word! Well, *looks at cheat-sheet on the floor*
*Slaps ruler on desk* No cheating! *Jumps up, and gulps.* Well, D...Mom... uh... hold on a second!
Seriously? What are you doing with that dictionary? *Takes a bite out of several pages.*
Wait, WHAT?! What are you- *Is now wearing thick black glasses and a labcoat.* Well, my friend, my personal definition of Retroactive Continuity is one that's similar to Power-Gaming, only it would be playing as God's Remote. You see, when something happens, it happens in the world. One who disobeys the rules of Retroactive Continuity, or RetCon as you forgot to mention in this post-
That's what- -the link was for in the main post where your application format came from? Yes, I know. I have eaten a dictionary.
What does that even have to do with- -this situation? Why, it hasn't done anything!
Wait... what? You've already asked that. Redundancy isn't that good, as it could count as spam, which is pretty much a no-no for all servers, as it could get annoying.
You're getting off subject! And why did you eat that dictionary? To answer that question, I was just curious to know how a dictionary tastes, thank you very much!
*Plants face on desk and groans.* Anyways, so as you can tell, this whole situation has been posted... and an example of Retroactive Continuity would be to disregard this conversation as if it never even happened; a prime example of the third one: Subtractive RetCon. Another two examples would be for someone to add to the events after they've occurred, such as me finishing my Forrest Gump quote! *Hmph!*
... And the second? That would be to alter something that happened before. Like, say, I were to make this application normally? Heh, then you wouldn't be as open-minded, Mrs. Questionnaire!
Excuse me?! What makes you so sure I'm even a female?! You know what? Nevermind that, I'm just going to revert back to my casual self, now.
Wait, what do you mean by- *Is no longer wearing glasses or the lab coat.* Hi, Dianne!
*Sigh* You know what? Forget this, let's move to the next question! Why do I have this strange taste of paper in my mouth?
I ask the questions, YOU answer them! Yes, Mom!

*Sighs before looking at the paper again.* What is a Mary Sue? What about Gary Stu, or Marty Stu?
Same thing! Though that does imply that you're familiar with it, correct? That's right! And you already know my answer!
Playing G- -Playing God! Basically, a Mary Sue/Gary Stu/Marty Stu is a flawless individual who always has the answer right from the beginning! A Gary could be that student who has all A++'s in his class, gets in a fight with a bully ten times his height and uses his "Shoryuken!" technique to 1-shot said bully's face into the sky. He then gets away with it, as he claims it was out of self-defense, and the teachers applaud him for taking care of the bully, then he is escorted back home in his family's private helicopter that he totally has a license for, despite him being only a fifteen-year-old college student.
What the... I don't even- Don't worry, it's mostly just the meds talking.
We're writing... and technically, you're writing! ... Same thing?

(When will this nightmare end?!) Okay, then! What is the difference between in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC)? In-Character means you're talking as your character. Out-Of-Character means you're talking as yourself. You can tell when someone is "OOC" either by them speaking on that specified channel (/ooc), or by having their sentences within two brackets each side. (( Kinda like this. ))

Huh... that's the fastest, most direct answer you've given me all day! Do i really take that long? Anyways, don't you have a few more quesions to ask me?

Oh, right! Anyways... *Glares* Hey, wait! I told you, already! I'm asking the questions, you moron! Quit it! Sorry...
Do you have previous experience playing on a RP server? (This won’t affect your acceptance, by the way... though if you're accepted, I might be tempted to kill you.) *Gulp* Now, now! No need to make rash decisions, just yet! And to answer your question... yes. I've played a few other RP servers out there. Namely, there was an old WoW server named "Prologue". Those guys were Hardcore RP, even with a whole "PermaDeath" thing going on! And I respected their wishes without question, unless necessary.

—In-Game Lore Questions (Please answer in your own words)—

Describe any city in Toro of your choosing: Aurelia is the Capital City, also known as the "Golden City of Opportunity". It is a huge city where many trainers come and go, each with their own ambitions. Being a city, and being the capital, it contains many large structures ranging from the PixelMart Department Store, to the Hospital, and even the PixCo. Headquarters, itself!

Describe Pix Co.: As stated above, it is located in Aurelia. It is a huge factory that runs most of the Toro Region's major resources, from PixelBalls to Electricity, and thanks to their partnerships with a few other major companies, the founder, Mrs. Eleanor Watanabe, was able to develop the PixelBall that we now use today.

—General Character Questions—
[ There is a one paragraph minimum for the appearance, biography, and personality ]
And that means no more messing around! Got it?! *Puts on my serious hat.* Got it!
Um... are you- It's a Fedora! Just go with it!
Alright, alright! Sheesh! ...

Full name: Justin Daniels.

Age: Twenty-Five years old.

Appearance: Justin is a somewhat tall, slim male with pale skin, dark green eyes, and short, brown hair. He appears to wear a white shirt with a dark gray vest underneath a tall, light brown trench coat. He wears dark blue trousers, and dark brown buckled loafers, though the buckles are unable to be identified due to the bagginess of his trousers. He also carries several pouches on his belt, each of which contain different things ranging from potions to herbs, to PixelBalls and such. He also tends to stare at his Identification Card a lot, and hides it inside his vest beneath the coat, despite it having pockets inside it.

Personality: Justin is a strange character. He tends to talk to his PixelMon a lot, and appears to understand what they say most of the time. What's even more odd, however, is the fact that they respond in kind to him.

During his conversations, he would reveal that he is lost and confused. He expresses that by his nervousness and his bashfulness. When spoken to, however, he is almost as kind as he is shy.

He may not know much about his past, due to recent traumatic experiences. However, with his ID, he could verify his name, his age, and his former home in what is now known as the Kanto Region.

In a conflict, he would tend to try resolving through speech, rather than violence. However, if necessary, he is willing to step out of his comfort zone to defend those around him... though only if they don't pose too much of a threat.

Biography: (The first half is purely for his own background lore, and may not be referred to in-game, due to IC reasons.)

Unlike most of the kids his age, Justin was never into the whole "PixelMon Journey" thing that the locals talked about. It wasn't until he was thirteen when he was introduced to his younger brother's first PixelMon. At first, he was creeped out by it, seeing how his brother loved catching Bug-Types. He would stare the Caterpie into the eyes, and the Caterpie would spray silken strings at him... a habit that he never did enjoy.

Rather than travel the world like his brother, Justin stuck with enjoying a good book or two, and learning all that he could in school. Eventually, he was due to go to college, thanks to his father, a miner at an oil rig, striking gold.

Thankfully, with a promising future, he was soon booked to PixelMon College, where he would graduate at the age of twenty-one.

Then, one day, he returned home... only to walk into an unexpected tragedy. His younger brother fell victim to a Rock Slide a couple days back.

Confused at why he was never told of this sooner, he left his home in a fit of devastation and unexpected anger. Rarely did he ever throw a fit like that... and then, he saw his brother's Caterpie resting on a mattress in the nearby hospital.

The poor creature was injured. It was covered in dirt, and bore a saddened expression as it rested on his brother's body, which lied in a comatose state.

He saw the doctors for a brief moment before they slid the curtains shut.

He stayed and watched for an hour. And then... he saw the shadows of the nurse lifting the blanket up... and placing it on top of the sleeping figure.

Devastation... he didn't need to hear it. He already knew. The journey his brother started several years ago... had come to a premature end.

And with that, he left. He started his own life in seclusion, not even bothering to look at pixelmon the same. In a sense, he felt them partially to blame for his brother's loss... but he knew not to blame them all. After all, while it were more than likely pixelmon that took his brother's life away, it was also a Caterpie that tried its best to save him.

He eventually took up a job at a local diner, serving customers and their pixelmon. With that job, he learned to socialize a little more, and grew more comfortable when working with a team.

Then, at the age of Twenty-Five, he picked up a Flyer. With it, he learned of a distant region known as "Toro", where opportunities strike at every given moment. There, he was offered a chance to make a lot of money... something he was in dire need of, due to working minimum wage. He knew that it would cost him every last coin in his pouch... but the rewards could potentially grant him the promotion he was looking for.

And all he had to do was cater! His team got together and took a boat that was scheduled to departure for Toro...

... a boat that never made it.

A mysterious storm began to erupt. The crew acted fast, telling Justin that the ship was about to go overboard, and that he needed to get on his water pixelmon quickly.

But unfortunately, he still didn't have a pixelmon with him.

The crew members offered him to escape with them, but he heard distress calls coming from the Maintenence Quarters.

And so, Justin quickly ran to the source, only to find a group of five passengers that snuck into the ship unannounced.

They never did give him their names, but regardless, they were scared. They were frightened... and they, too, didn't have any water pixelmon on them.

And so, Justin quickly led them towards the exit, where his crew was.

But one of the passengers cried that their baby Pichu was missing.

Justin turned around, only to find the small creature floating in the water, unconscious, but alive. Taking no time to waste, he quickly ran up to the rodent pixelmon and, carefully avoiding the red pouches on its cheeks thanks to his knowledge from school, he carried it up to the stairway, where the trainer had her pixelball ready.

However, upon hearing a crack next to him, Justin knew that the water was coming. He told them to run before tossing the Pichu towards the trainer, of whom caught it with the pokeball, before questioning him. That was when the sides of the area in front of him cracked open, and he was sent flying back from the rushing waves of the water.

Thankfully, he was able to reach the opening and escape, but the waves of the storm caused him to drift away, as he watched those trainers escape on the crew's pixelmon.

He was about to call for help, when a sudden explosion caught them all off guard. He looked towards the remainder of the ship, only to find a chunk of wood flying directly towards him.

And then... darkness.

(This is where his memories in-game would begin. These are points that he could bring up at the start through conversations.)

He could hear the waves of the ocean in the distance, followed by the scampering of paws in several directions. Curious, he opened his eyes, only to be startled by the unfamiliar environment.

He sat up, and gripped his head. Somehow, there was no signs of injury.

"Oh... you're awake, now?" a feminine voice called from behind him. He turned around, only to spot two strange pixelmon staring back at him; a tall, pink subspecies of Eevee with whiskers and a crystal on her forehead, and an even taller black Eevee with golden rings adorning his features. In-between them was an Eevee female with a small, red ribbon on her scalp.

"Who... who's there?" Justin asked, unable to see the source of the voice calling him.

"We are... and only us. Welcome, young human, to our humble little island." He continued to look around, unable to find the source of the voice.

"W-who's talking? A-and what island is this that you're talking about?" Finally deciding to stand back up, he quickly noticed that he was stripped down to only his undergarments. At the moment, however, he didn't even mind.

"At ease, young human. I am speaking with you through telekinesis. My name is... well, you can call me Espeon. These are my mate and my daughter, Umbreon and Eevee."

He froze in place. At first he looked around again to see if someone was just playing some kind of sick trick on him... but the only other individuals he could see at the time were just the two Eeveelutions, their Eevee daughter, and himself.

"H-how... how is this even possible?!" he asked before scratching his hair in confusion.

"It is a simple feat... but a feature that only a select few of us could manage." the Espeon replied.

With this, Justin looked at the pixelmon before him and decided that, if this was some weird dream, or some sort of purgatory, he should at least be sociable... despite him practically talking to pixelmon.

"Alright, then... s-so... where am I, if you don't mind me asking?" he asked in as calm of a voice as he could manage. It, of course, wasn't as calm as he'd have hoped, but the pixelmon before him seemed to understand.

"I sense that the damage done to your head was far more complex... and for that, I am sorry. I wish I could've healed you better." the Espeon told him with a sigh, and a small frown.

The young human, however, was confused at her statement. "I'm sorry? Um... what do you mean by 'damage done to my head'? What happened?"

The Espeon was about to reply, when the Umbreon decided to clear his throat. Then, to Justin's surprise, he heard his voice for the first time.

"I can answer that one for you... if you answer me these questions."

Justin was a little shocked to hear the other voice... but after getting over his stupor, he cleared his throat and nodded his head.

"First question... what is your name?"

He opened his mouth to respond, only to close it again. A newfound sense of confusion filled his head, alongside another large portion of dread and fear.

"I... I-I think it's..." Finally, he gripped his head and moaned as a sharp pain filled his mind.

"Quickly! Sit down!" he heard Umbreon and Espeon command. Umbreon then looked at Eevee and said, "Quick, Ruby, bring us more of the elixir from inside the cave!"

The Eevee nodded her head before rushing into the nearby bushes.

Justin, on the other hand, sat back down, only to notice Espeon's eyes glowing a light blue color. And then, his vision began to fill with the same bright light... but to his surprise, the sharp pain ceased.

"Unfortunately, my abilities are far more capable with other pixelmon. It is far more limited to the human mind as far as capabilities go. You will need to see a human doctor as soon as possible in order to get properly treated."

"I-I... I understand. T-thank you, though... f-for the help."

Espeon smiled before nodding her head. "It was nothing without the aid of my mate and our daughter."

"Ruby... right?" Justin asked.

Umbreon's ears perked up. He turned around with a surprised expression. "That's... right. But how did you know that? I wasn't even speaking to her in telekinesis!"

"But... I can hear you now, though."

Umbreon stared at him dumbfounded. Espeon, however, looked between the two before smiling at Justin again.

"Well, then... it appears that my psychic healing did more than just stop the bleeding. I... think you may have gained the mentality of a pixelmon!"

Justin scratched the back of his hair again. "Um... c-could you please explain that a little better?"

Umbreon sighed before clearing his throat. Then, he began to speak... but this time, his lips were moving.

"Can you understand me?" he asked.

Justin nodded his head, to which Umbreon nodded at his mate.

Espeon sighed in, what appeared to be, relief before her eyes stopped glowing. "Well... this is far more comfortable than me having to translate through psychosis."

Justin rubbed his eyes and shook his head. Espeon's mouth was moving, also. She was talking... to him! And he understood her!

"This is unreal... I'm talking to a pixelmon..." Justin mumbled to himself.

Finally, the Eevee returned with a coconut-cut cup filled with a strange, steaming green liquid. She held it up with her teeth biting the outermost edge of the rim, but Justin smiled and nodded his appreciations before taking a quick sip of the liquid.

To his surprise, it tasted more like a minty tea than a potion... or rather, what he would've guessed it to taste like. Before long, he finished drinking it, and offered it back to the Eevee.

"Thank you, Ruby." he said.

The Eevee looked at him in surprise, before turning towards her parents.

They smiled and nodded at her, silently urging her to reply.

"Y-you're... you're w-welcome, S-Sir."

He lightly chuckled before turning towards the Umbreon again.

"By the way... you both said that she's Eevee... yet you called her Ruby. Is there something I'm missing, here?"

The two parent pixelmon looked at each other before sighing and looking at him again.

"We weren't sure whether to trust you with our true names, or not... and not that we still do, I suppose our true names are in order." The Umbreon placed his paw on his chest. "My name is Jasper, and my species is Umbreon." He pointed at his mate and added, "My mate's name is Opal. And as you could probably guess, she is an Espeon." He then looked down at his daughter, who was now bashfully brushing the dirt and trying to avoid eye contact with the human. "Her name is Ruby... and she is our daughter... and an Eevee."

Justin nodded his head and smiled. "Well... it is great to meet you all. I... wish I could tell you my own name, but... I can't even remember it, to be honest."

They looked at each other again, before nodding their heads. Then Espeon floated a small wooden chest up from behind a nearby bush and placed it in front of the curious human.

He opened it up and checked inside. There was a folded pair of trousers, a white shirt, a gray vest, and a dark brown trenchcoat folded and stacked neatly on top of each other. On top of the clothes was a card and a barely readable ticket on top of it.

Lying next to the clothes was a pair of brown shoes and a belt with several pouches next to it.

"These used to belong to my trainer... until he passed on." Umbreon said, looking slightly downtrodden at the garments inside the chest.

Justin looked at the clothes curiously before Espeon clarified for him. "When he found you washed ashore, you were barely able to breathe. We had no choice but to rip your original garments off, then tear them into makeshift bandages to dress your wounds. What we could find that was yours, however, were the two cards that are on top of those things."

Justin nodded his head and sighed. "I... t-thank you, but... I don't think I should take these from you, though."

Umbreon smiled at him and motioned towards the chest again. "Don't worry, kid. As long as you wear them with pride, and promise you take care of them, I'll allow you to roam around in them."

Justin nodded his head again before weakly smiling. "Well, then... thank you again, Mr. Jasper. And don't worry, I'll be careful with these clothes... I promise."

With an approving nod, Umbreon sat down while Justin slipped his clothes back on. "I'm glad to hear that. By the way, what does that card say? Or have you forgotten how to read, too?"

Espeon gasped before popping him on the shoulder. "Jasper! That's not funny!"

"I wasn't being funny, Opal! I was asking him a legitimate question!"

Eevee lightly giggled before turning to face Justin again. He was dressed up in the garments that, to his surprise, fit him almost perfectly! Though the trousers were slightly baggier around the legs, it wouldn't be an issue.

She smiled at him, having memories of her father's stories that he would tell her... of the adventures that he and his trainer went on... and how she longed for that opportunity to travel like him, and make her own legacy.

When Justin finally finished dressing up, he sat back down and examined the card that was still in the chest.

"Hm... Justin... Daniels, I think. Origin: Kanto... but the city's too scratched up. I can't read that. Oh, and... Age: 25."

He then looked at the picture, before looking at the pixelmon. "Does the guy in the picture look like me?"

Espeon nodded her head after giving the two a quick glimpse. "That, he does."

Justin sighed in relief before placing the card in his vest pocket. "That's a relief... so, um... are there any more questions?"

Umbreon nodded his head and smiled. "Eager to explore? Oh, Makers, I hope my trainer's spirit isn't speaking through you, now."

Justin shrugged his shoulders and smiled sheepishly. "Um... I hope that isn't a bad thing... is it?"

"No... but anyways, let's move on. So, then... what is a Pixelmon?"

"A... Pixa-what-now?"

Umbreon sighed and planted his face in his paw. "This will probably take a while..."

And so, for the following three weeks, Justin was living with the Eeveelutions. He eventually met with the other pixelmon surrounding them, and was re-taught many of the basics that he learned back in school... though it never occurred to him that he already knew it somehow. He just took it as him just being a fast learner.

Finally, before long, he was living amongst them for a month. He still wore the garments, but was sure to keep them washed, and cleaned up.

As for Eevee? She grew closer to him. She started speaking with him about the adventures that her father and his trainer went through, and Justin would listen with great interest. It was no doubt that they were going to get along great.

And then... there came a question that she's been meaning to ask.

"So, Justin... do you plan on exploring the Toro Region?"

Justin paused from his eating and looked at her confusedly. "Um... pardon?"

She sighed and looked at the campfire. "Well... it's just that... living here my whole life, I've never really had any experience like my parents have. And... and I wanted to know if... if you ever plan on exploring this huge place, then... would you be willing to take me with you?"

Justin wasn't expecting her to ask this so soon. And so, he tried avoiding eye contact.

"I... can't say that I'm sure, to be honest... h-have you spoken with your parents about this?"

Suddenly, Umbreon's voice startled the two of them. "She has not... though I cannot say that I blame her."

Justin stood back up and turned to face Umbreon, who looked at him with a stern expression.

"Come, Justin... and you too, Ruby."

The two gulped before nodding and following after him. He was leading them to the cave... though this time, rather than enter it, he went around it, and beckoned the two to follow him.

They never were allowed to go there up until this point. As such, it was quite a surprise, even for Eevee.

"Um... Father? W-where are you taking us?" Eevee asked.

Umbreon sighed and closed his eyes, before replying, "A... very sacred place, my Daughter."

Eevee gulped again at his tone. He seemed... sad.

Eventually they came across a clearing, where several small streams ran through the cracks on the stone. They didn't know what to expect, until they noticed the large, moss-covered stone in the center of the clearing.

Written on it was a message.
A Brave Soul, A Noble Heart.
A Friend to Those Around.
Now Rested Is He, Timothy Mart,
Beneath This Sacred Ground.
Eevee's ears were drooped back, as the three stared at the stone in bittersweet silence. The water streaming through the cracks added to the tranquil feeling of the area.

Surely this was a place of peace... as well as the resting grounds of a brave soul that traveled through Toro... just he and his trusted pixelmon.

Umbreon sighed and fought the urge to cry... but he was unable to stop the tears from falling. He knew that the day would come that he would return to this place.

Regardless, though, he had to be strong. If not for his daughter, then for the one who he was about to trust with everything.

And so, he took a deep breath, approached the stone, and pressed his paws onto a stray piece, revealing a single brown pouch.

He then carried the pouch to Justin and offered it to him.

Curious, Justin opened the bag... only to find a single item in it.

A red and white orb with a metal button in the center.

"There were times when Timothy had to carry me through dangerous obstacles safely. He... would carry me inside that very device... a PixelBall."

Justin continued to stare at the orb curiously. "Wait... y-you're saying..."

Umbreon nodded before turning to face his daughter. "My daughter... is the world to me, at this point. But... like me, she has always craved to venture into this world. To grow stronger... smarter. To learn how to face her fears, head-on."

He sighed and looked down, before the tears began to fall from his eyelids once more. "And... a-and I know... t-that... like Timothy, I will not be able to protect her f-forever..."

Eevee frowned before walking closer to her father. The two exchanged looks before he pulled her in for a hug.

"I... I want her to be happy. H-her... her happiness is what I seek. A-and... I can see that... she... that she wants to see the world. And... i-if that's what will make her happy... t-then I see no reason to keep that dream away from her."

He looked up at Justin. "You... Justin... you've proven that you can be trusted. Just... j-just promise me... that you'll protect her with your life... as Timothy did for me."

Justin looked from Umbreon to the stone in the center. Then, with a serious expression, he nodded his head and looked at Umbreon again. "I promise, Mr. Jasper. I won't let you down... or her."

Umbreon smiled before nodding his head. "Good... and... thank you."

And with that, Justin looked at Eevee and smiled. "Well, Ruby... I believe it's about time that we got some rest. We've... got a busy day ahead of us."

Ruby smiled and nodded, before closing her eyes in anticipation.

Justin looked at the pixelball curiously before aiming the button at Eevee. Then, as if by natural knowledge, he gently tossed it her way, as the red beam began to fit the Pixelball's new owner into it.
________
It's been three days since they left the cave. Ever since then, Justin and his Eevee, Ruby, would talk about what they hoped to learn from this adventure.

Umbreon's voice echoed through his mind, however, once they found the skyscrapers within their view.

"I remember Timothy saying that his adventures started when he spoke with a Professor in the City of Aurelia. Go there, and seek out Professor Pine. Surely he will help you get started on your journey. Please, though... be safe. This world... it is dangerous for those unprepared."

He smiled and motioned towards the gates. Eevee smiled and nodded, before he withdrew her back into the Pixelball, which she claimed was actually a lot more comfortable than it looked.

And with that, he stepped inside the gates, and was ready to meet with the Professor.

As for the rest... well, that is for the future to decide.

Flaws: Being an amnesiac, he tends to be forgetful a lot of times. He's also easy to frighten, and even easier to fool. With his friendly nature, he could even be easy to be taken advantage of. Furthermore, he talks to PixelMon a lot more frequently than people, which could potentially make him considered slightly creepy. The damage caused from the shipwreck has given him a slight limp, making him unable to run for long periods of time.

Ambitions: His ambitions are to watch his Eevee (Ruby) grow up to be strong and wise. Her ambitions are to explore the world, and become a powerful pixelmon like her father.

Starter Pixelmon: A female Eevee with the Shy nature.

Skin: (Please include front and back shot or the skin itself.) Image

You find yourself standing in a bustling town. Suddenly, a small girl runs up to you, her eyes seeming to glisten with fresh tears as her bottom lip quivers. “Please!” She cries out to you, “You must help me! My poor Meowth is stuck in a tree!” She points to a nearby tree as more tears spill out of her eyes and down her cheeks. How does your character respond? Seeing how there aren't many people paying attention to the girl, I follow her to the tree. With my gift, I would speak with the Meowth to calm it, then climb the tree to help it back down.

After arriving in Toro a cheerful woman walks up to you, a clipboard in her hand. “Hello and welcome to Toro! I would like to ask where you came from and why you came, as well as where you plan to go. All for for statistical reasons of course.” she asked with a bright smile as she held a pen to her clipboard. How does your character respond? "Um... s-sorry, but I can't say I know the exact details. My... ship was, unfortunately, sunken about a month ago. From what I've heard, I was lucky enough to survive. All I could make out was that I'm from Kanto." "Oh! But, uh... you wouldn't happen to know where a Professor Pine would be, would you?"

You are walking along the road when your eyes lock onto a trainer's in the distance. At that moment, you both freeze in place. You see a glimmer in the trainer's eyes as he reaches for his Pixelball. "Go, Rattata! Show this chump what we've been training for!" the trainer shouts as he swiftly releases his chosen partner in the vacant space that separates the two of you. How does your character respond? "Uh... sorry, pal. Not interested." I then attempt to walk away.

... And... done! That wasn't so bad, was it?
... Um... are you asleep?
Zzz... wha?! What time is it? Oh, for the love of... did you seriously fall asleep?!
Well, it's not MY fault! Sheesh, when the thing asked you to write a Biogrophy, you didn't have to go and write an entire FANFICTION! Hey, I can't help it! It's a habit! And what all DID you catch?!
I bet I could catch all the Pixelmon in the world before the Moderators finish with the first half of that Story... err... Biography! You... fell asleep during the beginning of the bio, didn't you?
Heheh... uhh... yeah. Well, anyways, that's all the questions for you! So, Moderators, what do you guys think? Should we let this guy in, or not? Fingers crossed I get an award for finishing an application that took over six hours to write...
Don't push your luck, pal. Whatever you say... Dianne!
*Uses Roar* *Flees.*
Huh... guess I should've done that from the start! ...

Thanks! And likewise, buddy! I hope I don't give the Mods Cancer for reading my Character's Bio, though.

Hello, I'm Misha and I'm one of the app team members!
I would like to take a moment to direct a message to dirono since he has posted in here; I am sorry for the delay. The application team member meant to take your app has been a bit busy and hadn't had the opportunity to do yours yet. Someone should be getting to it soon enough, though I might get to it if nobody does it by tomorrow night (or rather, tonight since it's past 1 AM over here). Thank you for your patience~

And now back to you! Now I would like to start off by thanking you for your consideration, but also... oh boy, this is a long app. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, just a surprise since we don't often have people who write so much! It's overall not a bad app, there is some conflicts however that will need to be fixed/discussed before you and your character can be accepted. When you make your changes I'd also like to ask that you underline or highlight the text with the 'font colour' tool so I know where exactly you made your edits and have an easier time!

—Roleplay Questions—
- Your description of power-gaming isn't technically wrong, however it doesn't show that you know exactly what it means for our server or how it could happen in RP. I recommend adding more examples on how it could happen in roleplay and/or how one can avoid powergaming. We have a guide containing our description of it and examples [here].

—General Character Questions—
- I'm not entirely sure what you meant by 'Pixelmon College'. Is it a regular college, or is it a school specifically for Pixelmon, orr...? I'd just like this clarified a bit.

- Sadly, Espeon and Umbreon do not possess the ability to talk through telepathy. I noticed you that the Espeon said she is special, so I would be willing to ask if there could be an exception for the biography, however that is not up to me at all.
- I don't believe an Espeon would be able to sense damage to the mind.

- From my understanding a Pixelmon's abilities wouldn't allow a human speak Pixelmon, even if it was accidentally via psychic healing. You can attempt to put in an IC-GM for the ability, however it would likely be denied due to the amount of time you've been on the server (none), the fact they do not grant any sort of 'superpower' anymore, and a few more reasons.

- To avoid confusion we do not recommend having a character that has lived in Toro or would have much knowledge of it, especially for this situation. For me to allow this story would be to allow lore and location that might conflict with the server's lore + the map: a previous unexplored area where these Pixelmon and Justin would have to be living, Eeveelutions able to speak telepathically (which there has been no record of in the server), and a man named 'Timothy Mart'. Granted that last one isn't a problem as it could be easy for him, but it's just an example of how this might create conflict.

- Despite the Story page the main professor or 'face' of this region has actually been Kiori Mielke now for about 13-15 IC years, though I appreciate the effort. Before that... well I'm not entirely sure who'd give out Pixelballs. Generally people have come with their Pixelmon and such and don't mention him at all. I can ask for more information on this if need be, however this also coincides with the 'I do not recommend coming from Toro' point from above.

—Open Response Questions—
For this part you have to write your responses in third person, so write it more as if it were from a book! You're also gonna have to be a tad more creative and go into more detail! How does your character react or feel about whatever happens? Add dialogue or actions- and feel free to roleplay for the other character(s) in this situation. Just do enough to make it fit the one paragraph requirement at least for two of them! Also make sure to use your character's name in the response once you do third person; this is so in roleplays with multiple people we can differentiate who said what easier.

—Conclusion—
Anywho, you're off to an alright start! You seem to be good at writing, answered most of the RP questions correctly, and written a good personality/appearance section. Your biography also started off fine till it reached to the parts with the talking Eeveelutions, which conflicts with our lore. Your character is an interesting character but it sadly the story does not entirely fit with the Toro universe.

If you'd like to revise your application / character's story I can definitely go ahead and give it another look! Make sure you post a reply when you do though so I know you did it! If you have any questions, problems, or concerns feel free to contact me through PMs, make a post on the forums somewhere, or contact me on skype at Mishakiara! Thank you for applying and I do hope to see you fix it up and try again~
